An interesting idea could be properly executing this new "Scream" trilogy the way David Gordon Green originally wanted to do the whole "Halloween" trilogy, and have all three films take place over the same day (or a few days). And at the end of the trilogy, we get the Ghostface reveal/reveals.

I grew up with these movies I didn’t get into it until a girlfriend I had around 11-12 years old but once I did I was hooked. I actually think I saw scream 2 in theaters very shortly after I saw the original and actually I think 2 was actually the one that really hooked me. The opening of the sequel is the best opening scene right there with Casey and Steve if not better. Jada pinket really made the scene incredibly impressive with that crying scream when everyone finally understood what was happening and she falls dead then que the title card…incredible way of making people hooked from the beginning

Hey Mike! Going along with your road trip idea and so it doesn't get cheesy about how Ghostface follows them along, a cool concept would be that at the end you find out it's been a different Ghostface for every city and stop they have made along the way. A group of wannabe killers came together on the internet from all different areas of the US and together tracked Sydney's trip and made sure someone was always close by no matter what area her and her kids ended up. All of them of course donning the costume to give the appearance that they can't unrun him no matter where they go! That's the big twist and could be awesome if executed well! If they’re building on what 5 and 6 set up, with Amber talking about doing it due to peer pressure like Stu, and in 6 there are quite literally several ghostfaces popping up that aren’t all cooperating together, I can totally see her kids drinking the koolaid. Maybe they aren’t the tillers the whole time, but by the end of the movie they are corrupted kind of like Jamie in Halloween. A twist ending where one of her kids snaps would be wild

I mean I don’t want it to get to them doing like “Scream in Space” but a vacation or road trip would be cool as fuck! I’m picturing a “Fear” like plot with a daughter dating the killer and the killer or killers showing up at the end and Sidney and Mark like batten down the hatches and defend the kids. But I agree that we’re going to get a twist ending. Especially with Kevin Williamson involved. We all know trajectory of the story he originally had planned for Scream 4 which was rumored to be a twist ending….whatever the case, I’m SO EXCITED and you’re still hot!! So have a great summer!

Wouldn't it be cool if they didn't show who the killer was till the end of the trilogy. you have this huge build up through out all of the 3 films, And then it's revealed that the killer is stu who came back to really hurt Sidney not kill her he wants her to suffer in anguish for him getting caught and sent away for many years. Think the kids will only be around 12-15 in Scream 7. If it’s a trilogy it could end with one of them being the same age as Sid when it all began with her. I’d see that as a good bookend from Scream - Scream 9. Although I guess Sid’s mum died a year before the events of Scream original so maybe Sid dies in Scream 8? Also I think Cotton said Gale had 9 lives in Scream 2 so maybe she’d bite the dust in Scream 9?

In my honest opinion the only way to have Stu Macher come back and be meaningful is in a trilogy fashion. One Stu must win in some way. It would be awesome to have 8 and a 9. Ending it with 9 where everything ends. For the Tv show rumors it'd be nice to show how Stu gained a cult of influence. Spin offs for more stuff as well around the missing pieces. A time jump could be great cause a new cast will allow more suspicion. I hope though The Carpenter sisters are not thrown out. I pray that they come back in the story to help Sidney. Perhaps one spin off will be what is happening to them. It kinda makes sense this way for two reasons. Sidney is the main character again and if Stu is in the Carpenter's spin off it would ruin the surprise. Hopefully they do not become none canon cause I think doing this in this way could make big money. This can give time for all the Melissa stuff to be fixed as well. Giving them a movie again that closely ties in would be amazing. Imagine it having a title that doesn't involve a number crazy to think about. I think this all is possible because of Kev Williams.

No time jump should be needed. Scream 3 was 20+ years ago. Completely feasible that Sydney and Mark would have teenagers or college age kids…. We do see Sydney push a stroller in Scream 4, but that could be a younger child or… they could still even be old enough. Remember the cast was 17-18 ish in the first film. They were in HS… plenty plenty plenty of time there for Sidney’s kids to be older.

Scream 5 was the most unbelievable- having that little girl make all the kills behind the scenes! Including Dewey! He deserved better, but hey, it’s a movie! Just poor writing! Seeing as this is now the 3rd trilogy attempt Scream 4 was going to be the start of a trilogy before they scrapped those plans of Jill coming back. Scream 7 before all this was probably going to be the last chapter of this new trilogy. All big time jump is interesting, but I don't know how many years they will try to do for this. There was also a rumored cast that was tweeted about, but one of the actresses Zion Moreno who was in that rumored cast said that she wasn't apart of the movie on her Twitter.
