I’d love a Stab spin off which can be a dumb fun soft reboot set outside the Scream canon and tell fun slasher stories and not worrying about continuity and upsetting the fans with certain decisions. I still can’t forgive what they did to Dewey Riley and Judy Hicks in Scream “5” and also Scream “6” making Gale throw her movies worth of character development out the window and profiting off her dead ex’s death. 🤦🙄 A Stab movie I’d have more faith in than a Scream “7” because otherwise Scream ended with Scream 4 and has 4 canon films about Sidney and friends imo! But spin offs about new characters not tied to the mainline series including a new tv show and a Stab spin off I’d gladly enjoy!

This might be a controversial opinion but I've always wanted a Scream movie to have Ghostface and another killer that's not a Ghostface with his own motives setting up a spin off make him a big tanky guy with brute strength like Michael and Jason instead of being weaker and falling over like Ghostface that way you can have two franchise set in one universe cus they has to be more than just Ghostface killing people in that universe That's what I liked about the TV series they had a Special were they went up against a killer dressed up as a Scarecrow or Sackhead instead of Ghostface it set up other slashers in that universe

Imagine spin off, where mc is Randy-like dude and he is like bringing back idea of Randy being 'final boy', that was first SCREAM idea ever, before it got changed to Sid. 👻 Like Narrator with movie knowledge, first person narrated serie, something like DEXTER in first series, but inside brain of horror nerd. Especially, if SCREAMS were like STABs in SCREAMs in that serie - existing as movies. I think, if someone starts to kill as Ghostface, with Randy-like guy, at new school, playing detective, having Sid-girl, Billy, Tate, Stu types of friends... But killers in this one was, by end, for example, Sid-girl and someone, maybe being bored compared to Sid, a nod to Jill fans, too... 🤔 That's what I thought about, when thought about spin off... 🤔

If this is true and it ends up them bringing back The Core Four and The Lakewood 4 in some manner whether a movie or show? I'm all for it. But if NEITHER of that happens? Fuck this update then lmfao. I will say this, I prefer the Emma Duval story FAR OVER the Sidney Prescott story just because Emma Duval went through more mentally. Hell, I can even say Sam and Tara went through more mentally. The show was so much more creative, better writing and characters easily and fucking BRUTAL. The movies just do stabs lmao. Not to mention Willa is a better actress than Neve imo and has done so much more projects since her Scream days. Willa is beautiful af. All I want is Emma or Tara back in Scream. That's all I want in order to get happy for the franchise because right now? I am not happy. Nobody, not me or my friends are talking about Scream like we did during Scream 5-6 thanks to Jenna not being in it and Jenna is a conversation starter. It's kinda depressing. With Scream 7, it feels like 7 IS a spin off and compare that to 6? 7 feels like them taking 25 steps back. Noah IS my favorite of the FRANCHISE because Noah is fucking amazing and far better of a character than Randy ever was thanks to him having PROPER CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. The movies fucked up killing Randy too soon imo. Noah, Emma and Tara may be my top 3 of the franchise. Along with Sam and Dewey. The New Nightmare angle WAS tested lmao. THAT'S the reason why MTV cancelled the show. The showrunners wanted to go for that route in their Season 3, MTV thought that'd betray the fans too much then pulled the plug because MTV had PASSION for the show. They loved those characters too much to turn it into a joke. I will say this, Beyond the Mask IS writing a book about the show. So Paramount may look at that as a reason to bring Lakewood Scream BACK because Beyond the Mask has popularized it again. They will see the interest for that again and see the money that can be made. Let's be honest, the franchise needed new stories and Lakewood Scream was one of the best imo. THAT could very well happen too.

The thing with Emma is that she was a terrible character. All she ever did was fuck everything up and make everything about her. I was rooting for Ghostface by the end of Season one. And technically, Emma has had more Scream runtime than Sidney. She had like 20 45 minute episodes. Technically Sidney hasn't even had half that much story devoted to her.

Being the only final girl to discover who the killer is before they revealed themselves. Being the only final girl strong enough to hold back on simply killing them being a murderer. I don't know, there's just so much more about the show I enjoy over the majority of the films. I love the Sam and Tara story, but Emma Duval? It's so interesting and so much more they could tell. Reason why Beyond the Mask is writing a book because of the unlimited potential of the Lakewood 4. Besides, the show never called the killer Ghostface, but rather The Lakewood Slasher and I freaking loved the twist in a twist, we all thinking it was Brandon James when it completely teased that Emma's father may be the original Slasher. The showrunners also revealed that Brandon never killed anyone and is still alive. So they could work that into a future story. Willa's stated in recent interviews that if she ever got the call to return as Emma Duval? She'd say yes in a heartbeat. Same with John Karna (Noah) and considering the type of love Noah's got and Willa's career status now? The show will get alot more attention than it did than. We'll just have to wait and see what all they do with the franchise.

The movie is called ROMAN in the Scream font, of course. We bring back Scott Foley. Show him knocking on Maureen’s door. “You’re no boy of mine!” She tells him. He leaves, dejected. “I’ll show them!” He yells! Fist raised to the sky. We get the murder of Maureen as the opening kill in an extended opening sequence that cuts to title card: RØMAN!! 😂

Personally, I want SCREAM to live on the big screen. The concept of Ghost Face and the phone calls and the whodunnit can easily be spread too thin. I get wanting to milk the IP’s potential, but let it be what it is. What character(s) does the audience care enough about to warrant a spin-off? Or a Series? If they introduce new, interesting characters, just put them in the future sequels.

The scream tv series was absolutely f*cking terrible. Sorry, not sorry. Personally, I think there should be ten Scream films. They should do ten films as the same continuing story and timeline. and then a spin off and a show. A new show which isn’t poorly acted and written could be good. And it should be about Kirby. Make it in world, no Sidney, make it darker and there’s a Ghostface killer leaving clues and body parts around the city. Gale could pop up as a cameo here and there reporting on the murders. A true crime documentary. And a spin off for me means they could do anything. They could have a show set in a world where Sidney did die, they could mess with the timeline a bit, maybe even bring back dead characters. Maybe a show set in a world where Scream exists and there’s a real Ghostface killer. A Stab show where they’re shooting a stab movie like in Scream 3. But man, I’m just happy we’re getting Scream 7 with Sidney. I need mark and Gale confirmed. And I really hope the rumours of Judy Greer and Keri Russell are true and they’re in it.

A show can work since Ghostface can be used as a way to get more characters and stories. They could do a limited series with Kirby going after the cult of Ghostface and another one with new characters. But it has to be good. Hannibal was great, Bates Motel wasn't for everyone but I liked it, Chucky went off the rails, and there were a few that didn't get much attention like Exorcist, Omen.

if as many Ghostface killers have popped up in just Woodsboro then it’s reasonable to think that others have came up around the country for their own reasons (similar to the Scream tv series you hate). We could get a series with Kirby coming in on those cases, if someone if killing as Ghostface because they love the Stab franchise then they’d quickly try to make Kirby central to what they’re doing once she arrived in town I think that concept could work well, every season could be a new case in a new part of the country

Being real they just need to attempt a standalone reboot. The Scream franchise has the inverse problem that typical horror franchises have which is the killer is not the issue, they are not beholden to a specific killer. To me they are beholden to protagonist’s. But the problem is when those protagonist’s do not die it becomes tiresome. Neve is 50 now it’s time to attempt it. We are also gonna face the reality of Roger L Jackson as the voice of GF is not gonna be with us forever. A reboot that really tries is what they need.

the first two seasons of the TV show, were flawed but I will watch them 100 times over that garbage Scream: Resurrection, Man only 6 episodes and I wanted to gouge my eyes after watching it. But a TV or spinoff could work but got to have a good story or characters to follow. As for the Stu stuff, i know everyone likes to think he is alive.
