The subway scene in my opinion was ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT, simply because the majority of passengers on this mode of transportation were wearing masks, some very typical almost every Halloween. But....there were those who wore the Ghostface ones, which would make the actual killer(also wearing the mask) just as elusive and unpredictable as he or she is deadly. This makes any victim in a horror movie more susceptible to getting killed off at any time, at any place.

The thing I love about this movie was how aggressive Ghostface was. In the older movies, we still got aggressive Ghostface. But there was a lot more humor mixed in. Here we got some humor in there. Like when he was confused when Gale hung up on him. But aside from that, it was pure violence. Also, when I first watched this, I thought for sure Ethan would be a disposable victim after the movie kept trying to hint that he was Ghostface repeatedly. So you can imagine my surprise when the masks came off at the end.

Now I've had some push back on this, but, I still stand by it: They're really trying to make it seem like Sam is going to follow in Billy footsteps, put on the mask herself, and become Ghostface herself eventually. However, I think it's a misdirect. I think Tara might actually turn into Ghostface. Not sure why or what drove her to it... just that she will snap. Some reasoning - other than the way that Tara seemed to REALLY enjoy the killing part, and her smile when she stabbed Ethan that showed her pure enjoyment, and how just savored it - SCREAM 2022 (5CREAM) is an homage to SCREAM (1996) with the primary mastermind killer being the love interest, and SCREAIVI is an homage to SCREAM 2 with the primary mastermind killer being a parent of the first primary killer. SO, wouldn't it reason for SC7EAM to be an homage to SCR3AM? WELL, in SCR3AM the killer was the half-sibling of the main final girl of the franchise. Sam IS THAT MAIN FINAL GIRL, not Tara. TARA... IS the HALF-SIBLING of Sam.

I want this to happen so badly! If they don’t do this, I think it’s a missed opportunity. And it would work better than the Roman twist because we’ve known Tara since day 1 of the rebooted franchise. We’ve been following her story alongside Sam’s and they’ve built everything up so well. I personally see Gale and Sam’s interaction in the theater as foreshadowing for this too. “What do you do when you lose that one person?” “You just go on… Maybe find another loner and you look out for each other.” I think Danny is going to be the final boy in the next movie alongside Sam and he’ll be the “loner” standing beside Sam.

Omg I can't believe Dermot Mulroney from Shameless was in this! I've made comments about this movie a few other places, but always forget one thing! It annoys me that Sam stops Danny from coming into the building. Not because she was wrong, it was a good call. But she made that man travel halfway across the city on the train for nothing! At least give him a heads up, Danny probably would have still gone to make sure she was safe.

Love this movie I wanted a modern scream 2 and that’s exactly what I got. It had a creative opening, great chase/tense sequences, a pretty stacked cast, some actual gory kills cause the kills in 5 were disappointing but in 6 it didn’t disappoint they actually delivered some gore none of the kills are creative but very good kills with 3 stand outs (Greg decapitated body, Anika gutted then bashed in face, and Bailey stabbed 30 times then in the eye oof . Jason is an honorable mention cause it may be a stab kill the extra detail of showing his guts starting to come out is something we’ve never seen cause all the gutting kills with intestines always show the guts on the aftermath never actually on screen), legacy characters were used very nicely, the killers were alright quinn was the best of the 3 cause she was pretty serious , I like the third act, I love the core 4 with the most impressive being Sam she didn’t sell me as the new lead in 5 but in 6 she can definitely run the show. My only issues with the movie are plot holes that do bother my experience, some cringey acting in the third act, and lots of unbelievable moments like the plot armor was so strong but girl the stabs aren’t as serious as they use to be like you have ppl like Mindy who got cut in the arm acting like it’s a stab to the gut but then you have ppl like Chad who somehow managed to survive getting stabbed 16 times like it is annoying like yes the previous movies have done that but it was never someone getting stabbed that much💀. Overall a 8.5/10 just behind the original and scream 2. My ranking is 1,2,6,4,5,3.

@@aarongilmore1254 a modern version the only things similar was the killer relationships to a previous killer and it was set in college. I just meant the elements of scream 2 is what I wanted cause it did things differently compared to the rest of the franchise. Creative opening check, use its setting to its best potential check, chase/tense sequences check, a standout kill (we got 3 of them this movie), third act setting isn’t at a house check, some good character development from returning cast check. The only thing they didn’t go through with is kill someone from the main group and we all know if they wanted to be a true homage it was gonna be Mindy she’s the randy of the group and he died in scream 2. This movie did plenty different from making ghostface even bolder cause he was pretty in public in scream 2 but in 6 it’s cranked up to a 10, ghostface used a shotgun, different masks, he was 3 ppl this time and he wasn’t his clumsy self as he usually is.

From the moment I saw this in theaters, I decided that from here up until I’m no longer on this earth (Or unable to speak for whatever reason.) that I will _always_ pronounce the word “details” _exactly_ like Sam’s psychiatrist. lol. I dunno why but I’m fully obsessed with the way he says it here. lol. Anyway, I absolutely *LOVE* this movie! It’s just sooooo much goddamn fun!! If you would’ve told wee me way back in ‘97, when I first saw the original, that over 25 years and 5 sequels later, I would *love* every single film in the franchise (Because each one is _soooo_ f-in’ good!) My 12 year old granddaughter and I actually watched this last night for the first time. We both loved it. I like this new take on final girls and they being sisters. It was graphic and bloody and I loved it! The opening kill sequence was amazing with Samara Weaving being killed and then her killer being killed was so good! I suspected that the cop was one of the killers and I really thought Kirby and the hot neighbor were the killers. Loved it and I’m ready for the next movie!

Now, way back before even Scream 5 came out or was even in full production, different YT channels dedicated to film/geek culture would ask people what they'd like to see in a new Scream movie. For me, it was always: Ghostface vs. Ghostface, with one being unaware; reveal at least ONE Ghostface in the opening; three Ghostface killers. And when none of it happened in Scream 5, I said it again for Scream 6, along with: one Ghostface killer either surviving, or an unrevealed Ghostface killer and coming back in the next sequel. Well, Scream 6 was kind enough to actually give me three of my requests. I couldn't be happier. I'll just have to wait for Scream 7 to know if their is an unrevealed killer in Scream 6.

They should have gave the "Ethan end scare kill" to both the sisters just going pure Psycho on him cause you saw a little bit of Billy in Tara when she twisted that blade and the Tv was at a weird angle and not plugged in. Man I knew Ethan was gonna be a Ghostface from the very first promo photo. Guy just has the facial vibe of a lunatic. He looks too like Evan Peters not to be crazy 😂 I was convinced Chad was gonna be one of the killers just because of how much they were leaving into the "caving into the pressure" thing....plus, never trust the love interest, which he suddenly was. Also, Cute Guy is a total red herring. He's 100% gonna be Ghostface in Scream VII, guys a damn psycho 🤣

I absolutely loved the train scene when you can Halloween costumes that are paying tribute other iconic horror films. There was the Babadook, Leatherface, Michael Myers, Jason, the twins from The Shining, Pinhead and Freddie Krueger. My granddaughter and I picked up on that quick. I don’t know if y’all know or not but the famous actors that are killed first in these movies is an homage to Janet Leigh in Psycho.

IMO Josh Segarra doesn't get enough credit as the "new boyfriend who we are definitely suspicious of even though the only real suspicious thing about him is the fact that he is the new boyfriend" character. There is obvious white van Randy, and sequel to the requel, but the OKB party Omega kappa beta, Derek's Frat and the ending in a red theatre with a pissed off family talking revenge for the last film.
