Two excellent versions of what's potentially going on here in the comments below. I do like the idea that both are stuck in some sort of limbo in purgatory, since both appear to have been subjected to fatal injuries. One via motorcycle accident and the other falling off a building. Seems reasonable to deduce that neither survived their injuries. The odd, surreal landscape and an eclipse could be red herrings but they do support this assumption. The beauty of this is the fact that it could equally be interpreted as how you actually see it. in that, the girl is actually on the run from the motorcyclist who comes off his bike and suffers amnesia. Totally plausible. Whatever your interpretation, this is a really superb short.

When he was torturing her he was clearly enjoying the power and her pain. He might have been shocked when he remembered who he was but there there is no way he felt guilt or anguish over what he did to her. His psychosis is too inherent. He will drag her back to where she ran from. She is doomed to a life of misery.

For those that are still confused about this, HERE IS THE STORY: The man was the only one that lost his memory but she remembers everything. She was about to be sold by this messed up group that brands their victims with different flowers. For her, she was branded with an Iron Rose. She managed to escape but the man who branded her followed her on motorcycle got into an accident and lost his memory. He then woke up to a voice mail from his buddy (which is the key part) about a "Flower Delivery" and that "Rose is Missing". She was the rose they were talking about and the flower delivery was probably another victim. He eventually remembered everything in the end. There is one question still left unanswered. Why did everything turn dark at one moment and why was there a white ring in the sky

They call it " flower deliveries ", when a girl...(Rose) is coming or going. Rose has escaped and met him on the road not knowing He is her torturer. ..until she sees the tattoo next day. They both stare at each other , as they both come to realise who they are to each other & what they must do to survive.

It feels like this is all just a big setup towards an horrifying climax, but the movie cuts out right before the climax. The suspense ambient the movie sets is really good, but it feels like taking out the climax takes out the horror essence, too. However, the ambiguity between what he’s going to do next, either save her from the “cult” he’s in or just giving her to his partners since his memories are back, leaves a strong impact on the short movie. Instead of calling this a terrifying horror short film, I’d say it’s a pretty chilling thriller short film, still very good!

That was so effed up! That was a really amazing short and with a nice, classy touch of Hitchcock suspense with no need to show the gore with how it could feel getting branded might feel like. Dang! Really brilliant acting, directing, writing, editing, everyone who put this on the edge of one's seat short. I think it was just that fantastic! It seemed to end before I knew it, Thanks!

I think this man is the killer who kidnapped the woman. He got amnesia right after an motobike accident, and he completely forgot he was a killer. on the other hand, after escaping, she unexpectedly met him and didn't even know he is the killer who had tried to kill her (bcuz he didn't wear mask). Then, when she fell asleep, he recovered his memory and then...noone know what will happen... If anyone see my comment, plz help me fix my grammar annd tense mistakes. Million thanks!

I don’t think so. “ two souls cross paths” represent the eclipse: sun and moon( two souls) go in “ cross paths” ( eclipse) which led to new beginning or new era. According to the ancient civilizations, eclipses is a time to make peace with family, friends and neighbors. It’s simply, begin to new era.

What do Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" and this terrific short film have in common? They both speak to high end human trafficking (flower delivery), that's bizarre, even cultish. Also both portray an odd sort of romance, or merely closeness, emerging between the victim and her abductor (Blackbird). The difference is in how it all ends up: in the one, the victim takes revenge; in the other, the nightmare just gets worse. This film is truly deft directing by Charlotte Stente Nielsen and Tim Fellingham!
