there are a few things that you didnt show. there are o rings that go on each side of the new breather bolts. also a new gasket between the new air cleaner mount and the intake. I had to remove the tank on my Ultra to remove a piece that secured some wiring. Not hard though!

I would have installed an external Breather kit ? You stopped up the Vent Holes, I will be a problem .

I have a 2014 street glide and samething happened to me. You have to remove tank to remove bracket. I did it different however. I put in a hex key standing up amd used some lock grips amd turned it the tank. Worked for me!!

I put in a single hex key standing up. Its hard to get to...but it can be done. Then when its finally in the socket, grab some needle nose vise grips and u shkuld bave enough space to grab it the hex, and turn it to loosen the bolts. It ll take awhile since u can only do 1/4 turns but beats taking off tank! Good luck to u

the two breather holes take a screw on each side and the screws are air vented for the gases can flow to you're filter. glad to help!!!!!!

I just put on my Screaming Eagle Stage 1 For one thing you have to remove the module bracket or you will have a gap opening between your backplate and throttlebody. The way I did it is to remove your gas tank to remove module bracket. take module bracket off and saw the ends off with a hacksaw for you can reuse the module bracket again. paint the ends of the bracket this way your module bracket will steal hold your modules in place. this will give you a clean look. P.S. do not forget your four O-rings and gasket which it was not shown in this video. glad to help!!!!

cisco739 just put mine on and while the instructions from Harley tell you to remove the tank, they don’t say why and what steps require it. I found I have a gap...

I found out the main reason they tell you to take the tank off is because its much easier and you will not damage the tank. I did not want to take the tank off so, I rigged my own tool and although it took me 45 minutes longer to do, I did not have to take the tank off. Putting a stage one kit on does require you taking the backing plate bracket off. Also depends on your model. Mine was a 2011 RK

installed one on my 2014 street glide. had to loosen front of tank and lift up on it to access hex bolts for the bracket otherwise with it on i had a 1/16 of an inch gap

If you plug the two breather hoses, wouldnt oilgases have to go out somewhere else? Where do they go?

The two top bolts holding the bracket on are hollow and allow the gasses to flow out of the two small angled holes near the intake opening. In essence they take the place of the breather hoses.

I've got an after market air cleaner to install and the top breathing bolts currently on my Kuryakyn Mk II air cleaner have nipples that connect to breather tubes and run back into the air cleaner assembly. The new bolts haven't got the nipples and are hollow with a hole halfway up them. Does this mean the pressure wont ne vented ir fo these new bolts fo something I'm not aware of? Like where is the oil going? Back into the head? I'm Curious...

Im installing one my 2012 FLHTCU this week,, SE stage 1.. I brought a sock and plate cover,,, I have the nightstick 2-2 pipes on it now,, i have also opened up the plates on the end of pipes for more sir flow and sound.. question is how will i know if i need it tuned? say people say you wont,, some say yes,, I was told to look at the plugs after 1k miles if gray I would need a tuner or tuned..

Did as instructed. You missed the gasket install on the backing plate. So I have noticed there appears to be a gap between the backing plate/gasket and the engine housing. Is that normal? Seems this would impact airflow.

you buy a clip and mount the sensor on the backing plate. harley sells the clips for 2 bucks. its a little maybe half inch square. clip with a clip sticking out,.and it has adhesive on the back.

No crankcase vent tubes needed with this type of backing plate, they vent through the plate and out behind through the two small holes seen when the plate is bolted on.

my bike is carbureted I got the same backing plate and air breather on her now . I installed true duals looks good and sounds great . had to tweak the carb a little but it easy to do yourself .

Yep, and mine drips oil in the air breather now. I wish i hadnt did the stage 1 kit. It wasnt worth 350.oo with the download.

It’s connected to the left side throttle body on throttle by wire Harleys

good way to fuck your bike up. you need the ecm remapped and downloaded to run properly... you cant just slap the filter on and start it up...

No, you’ll have a stage 1 air cleaner. Full stage 1 includes an exhaust upgrade and air/fuel tune

This is a "Stage 1 Air Cleaner" install. The Title should reflect that. "Stage 1 kit install" is ambiguous, as it could mean a Stage 1 big bore kit.... Other than that, noce video.
