I just saw Bowfinger for the 1st time last night on HBO and my sides are still hurting from laughing. How did I miss the Comic Gem back in 1999. Steve and Eddie are perfect together and Christine Baranski as the "over the top" actress is also hilarious. Heather Graham is always a beautiful plus to any movie. The Crossing the Freeway scene had me literally rolling on the floor with laughter. I suggest taking a "puff" of something tasty and watching this movie.

This is how Norbit would later come about within' 8 years later after Bowfinger was released in 1999. Eddie Murphy is good within' his range. In order to change to transform himself into playing different multiply characters within' a few of his movies. Anyone can tell Mr. Murphy has studied to create and become the character. Plus, doing impressions of other celebrities by studying their mannerism and sounds. It takes practice and lot of patience to get it right. I have this movie on VHS. I thought it was a hilarious okay film. But not as great as Life with Martin Lawrence.

@@SalwanSameea I'm not an expert on the subject, but if you choose to hire an union actor, you have to honor the contract the union member has as a member of that acting union. So he/she is typically entitled to a particular pay, benefits, etc etc, which makes them more expensive to hire. If your non-union, the moviemakers will pay you what they offer and it's "take it or leave it." Jiff's a nobody off the street, so he's way cheaper to hire than the first guy.
