This is the best scene with Tom Cruise as Les Grossman in the comedy hit "Tropic Thunder".
You will watch here the best quotes, such as "I will f*ck you up!", "The universe is talking to us right now. You just gotta listen" or "Playa, playa. Bick dick playa!".
Of course there's also Tom's famous dance to music song "Low".
It's just fabulous and hilarous.
ALL RIGHTS BELONG TO UNIVERSAL.
THIS VIDEO IS ONLY FOR ENTERTAINMENT,
IT'S NOT FOR COPY OR SALE.
THANK YOU UNIVERSAL FOR NOT DELETING THIS. I JUST LOVE THIS MOVIE AND I WANT TO PEOPLE SEE THAT BY THIS SCENE.

@@pureChem1calz Because that's literally what's written in the title? What's important to understand that this is a long movie, this scene is in the middle of it, and before that this character is only seen one for like a minute of screen time on a screen. If you would watch that at the time of release and had no knowledge of Tom Cruise being in it, which nobody at the time did, because he wasn't in the title, you probably would miss it, just like most people did. He felt weird, you might have suspected something, but a lot of people missed it. Especially because at the time Tom Cruise never associated with that level of comedy and had a certain reputation and image.

Because this cast wasn't the A-list cast that it is now. Iron Man came out the same year as Tropic Thunder and this was when RDJ was out of prison/rehab and struggling to find solid projects. Kung-Fu Panda also came out the same year, and Jack Black was basically only known for House of Rock. This was before Interstellar, so Matthew McConaughey was really only known for Sahara and other smaller films like Contact. Bill Hader was only known to people familiar with SNL, but even then, this was before his (arguably) most popular sketch, The Californians. With exception to Tom Cruise, Ben Stiller was probably the most famous actor at the time of this movie's release. Basically Ben was really good at networking and just happened to get a bunch of talented actors together before they achieved massive success with other franchises and movies.

RDJ was a major character that stole the *thunder* from Stiller and Black, but this bit part surprise role by Cruise was AMAZING!

Cruise must have had fun doing this -- the guy isn't just an actor, but he is also very much an industry insider.

Les Grossman was Cruise's idea. The character wasn't part of the original plot.

@@jeffreybarlow8966 Well there are actors in the industry who are just given a salary for a role. They say their lines, they go do press and then it’s off to the next film. Then there’s Tom Cruise who finances his own movies worth hundreds of millions of dollars, chooses his director, chooses his cast, and stars in the movie. He knows the ins and outs of the industry, from the script to the “Limited Edition” Top Gun popcorn tub you beg your mommy for at concession before the movie. Tom has probably sat in countless meetings with sociopaths just like this guy. I think that’s what he meant Jeff. I’d explain it with pictures, but KZbin isn’t very inclusive to the smooth brains.
