Lord of The Rings is (To me) the best fantasy franchise out of all of the choices. The atmosphere, the approach, the lore and the realism. All of it put together blows Star Wars out of the water.

I understand that everyone has their own opinion but you have to admit that Game of Thrones can match up to Lord of the Rings because it is almost like a modern reimagining that feels more real yet you can love both however, Star Wars has always felt so cheesy and the characters are so cliched.

Tyrion Lannister Yes the political approach that GoT has to it is amazing yet I feel that LoTR has a more adventurous side to it, while also withholding the political standard. And plus I factor my choice a lot on lore/history and compared to GoT, Star Wars, Star Trek and Harry Potter the only one that comes close is Star Trek. But yes all in all Game of Thrones is a beautiful told story and a great world in general. Even though I prefer the show more than the books (Which you wont hear much)

Just to be perfectly honest, I think Elijah Wood is one of the best actors I've seen to date. Most of his acting, I think, really relies very much on his eyes. He's able to convey extreme emotions with them. I think that's why he eyes are talked about so much. And they are gorgeous.

The Battle Royale would need to end between Frodo, Bilbo and Smeagol. Smeagol, Frodo and Bilbo are all overwhelmed by power when their possession of the Ring is threatened, and they get much, *much* more powerful when that happens. If the fight is with all of them at their prime, my bet is Bilbo.

Hannah Stiner Ah, the Vacation movies, Spies Like Us, Three Amigos, Nothing But Trouble, I watched the hell out of those as a kid (with the occasional Fletch, Oh Heavenly Dog, and Caddyshack 1&2 thrown in for good measure). My personal favorite was/is Funny Farm, though. I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen it. If they haven't done it yet, Movie Fights should do a "Best Chevy Chase Movie" round.

How is the Hobbit not part of the same franchise but the Star wars prequels are? They are both prequels. They both have some of the same characters. To say that LOTR is not the same story as the Hobbit is to completely ignore golem and the one ring! The Hobbit, I argue, is MORE important to LOTR than the Star Wars prequels were for the story!!!!

You find out more about the world of Star Wars in the prequels that connects to the orginal world than the Hobbit does to the Lord of the Rings. With the Lord of the Rings they are very different stories with different goals, protagonists and antagonists set in the same world. I think this is why they said that.

+TalixZen Hobbit is not important to LOTR other than it introduces Gollum and an unidentified ring. The Hobbit's focus is the Lonely Mountain and the 13 dwarves, not the Ring. Bilbo is the focus, not Frodo. The additions to the story by Peter Jackson are an attempt to tie the two stories together. I would suggest that you actually read the book to understand why purists are disappointed in the trilogy.

+Dodi Tov The prequels are not important for the originals other then they introduce anakin and an unfamiliar politician. The prequels focus more or the love story between natalie portman and a stone faced robot boy who struggles with being allergic to sand. They focus on anakin not luke. The rest are things added by george lucas to try and tie in the two stories together. l would suggest you read the tittle of the show and understand why the books don't matter.

In a world where everyone is forced to watch the same movie over and over again forever, I'd pick Cinématon. I haven't seen it, but not only is it one of the longest films ever made (at 196 hours), it's silent. That means it'll loop around less often than most other films, and it won't interrupt your conversations or keep you awake. As a matter of pure practicality, it's clearly the best choice. Also, if you're still allowed to set up stage plays in front of the movie, Cinématon will only be a minor distraction.

...And here's how you argue for Big Hero Six against Big in the bargain bin: I would not be surprised to find Big in the bargain bin. Everyone has seen it already, and you probably already have it at home, or it's on TV in a couple of weeks. If you find Big Hero Six in the bargain bin, someone made a mistake at the store and it's your lucky day. That's a true bargain, and you're getting value for your money. It's a recent movie, it's a beautiful and heartwarming movie, and it's just as exciting for children as for adults. It's Disney doing Marvel and it's wonderful. Big is really dated and kind of icky.

Eliijah was incredible.. but I was a little bit disappointed in his arguments defending Fellowship - It's the only that has Boromir which is a great character - It has the Balrog - It's the one closer to the books.. not green ghosts, no fire eye, no ex machina elves - It ends in a cliffhanger Empire Strikes Back style - It tried (in expense of an awesome character, yes but...) and succeed in adding more woman representation ...well I could go on and on...

Two Towers was my favorite when they released, but Return of the King has grown on me over the years. I think it ventures to tell the most complete story (out of the 3 movies), even though it has like 6 endings. I've never seen the extended cuts, however, so I may have a limited perspective.

ZeroSum23 For me it's the other way around.I initially liked ROTK the most,but as time passed I started seeing its flaws and how much better the first two were. For me,ROTK has the worst script and it might even be the worst directed out of the 3.

The Best of the Lord of the Ring movies was Fellowship of the Ring and it's not close. It should've won the Oscar. Return of King won as a way to recognize the entire franchise.

One of the best points of the Two Towers was Aragorn's outburst before the Battle of Helm's Deep. His passion to defend the people of Rohan even should it be his death and his anger at Legolas for suggesting they leave them to the doom awaiting built his character so much.

I pretty much can't stand Nick Mundy, I am continually utterly baffled that apparently so much of the audience seems to have such love for him. This fight here (and mind you I'm not even finished it yet), this is like a perfectly fitting example of why he's so annoying. He actually seems sort of troll-ish, now I think about it. He so often comes up with absolutely preposterous, out of left field picks or arguments for things, but then even his usual style and attitude of his argument making I find so tiring. I agree on the being a fan of Elijah part, but I thought Max Landis was actually great. He had some of the best arguments I've seen on Movie Fights, and I didn't feel like he was pretentious, he was just very forward and blunt sometimes.
