Into the Spider-Verse is the most surprised I have ever been with a movie. I figured it was going to be okay, it seemed like an inoffensive animated movie. I really, really was not expecting it to be so incredible. Jaw dropping, ever part of it. A movie with a strong message that doesn't get lost up its sphincter, great action, amazing visuals, hilarious and just has the guts to go with the most insane wacky story.

Right?! Like normally spiderman getting killed in a spiderman movie wouldnt be received well and would mean the end of the movie because you can't have a movie without it's main character. Doing it in a movie with spider people from across the multi verse was brilliant. They made us feel that pain and impact in the short time we knew perfect Peter perhaps because we automatically connect him with how much we already love Peter Parker and then we got to meet all the other spider people including getting to see miles become spiderman and it didn't take away from the importance of that death at all

That's because they chose to focus on a gimmick, rather than some of its flaws (like how three of the six spidies (and half the villains) served essentially no purpose. Or how Ultimate versions of villains are pretty freaking lame compared to their standard counterparts. Mind you, still a good movie, and nothing wrong with doing a trailer that is something different than the norm, from time to time.

@@Axterix13 I don't feel like either of those two are flaws. They don't hurt the movie in any way. I thought that spider ham was good on paper but didn't seem to fit right and half his jokes didn't really land, but as far as the villians I had no problem. In any other film they would have just been generic henchmen anyway, so making them powered people from the comics at least makes the fight scenes more interesting. And the alternate versions instead of the mainline keep you guessing and allowed for the doc ock twist.

AtomTheRed yeah it was dreadful. Like they grabbed an English script, google translated it, and then had some woman who had some vague (emphasis on vague) understanding of the language to read it and never fixed any basic grammar and pronunciation errors. She misgendered nouns, made up words that don’t exist (clonico doesn’t exist), and completely mispronounces words (no one in the Spanish speaking world pronounces “prohibido” like she did). It was bad.
