I know a stuntman who worked on Rebel Moon. He said Zack Snyder was one of his favorite directors he's ever worked for, that he ran a great set where everyone was happy, treated everyone with remarkable kindness and fostered a really nice work environment. Honestly, that made me happy. His actual movies may be hyper-pretentious, dark, and just not very good, but at least everyone has a great time making them.

@@billybones1694 You know what the irritating thing is? According to the screenwriter, a ton of the scenes that got cut from Part One were about the robot becoming one with nature. They intentionally stripped out the most interesting part to get it a 2-hour runtime.

The R cut does kinda make sense… the fights were oddly sanitized and bloodless. It was so bloodless that it was distracting. Like in one scene a guy gets his face/neck slashed with an axe and there not a drop of blood. It’s weird… I’ve seen more gore in Disney movies!

I actually watched that for the first time last night and did not care for it. It wasn’t atrocious, but he removed the messages from the original and replaced them with idiots and mediocre action scenes. If his “peak” is copying a great movie and turning it into junk then that’s really sad.

Zack Snyder, is easily the most overhyped director I've ever come across. There's a thin line between Intelligence and Indulgence, and just like Ridley Scott this year, Snyder seems to have played skipping rope with it.
