@@harryjansen6789 it’s truly a game changer, I never had any issues with it until my sparky put the screws in backwards and it broke the head. I ended up buying a new one and it’s still working great. 👍

Thanks , I needed a bit of tuition👍👍. I just bought one of these without the screw gun ...bloody nightmare trying to find the correct adaptor ...apparently they doesn't exist for my Dewalt DCF620 cordless drywall gun , so I had to buy a dedicated Dewalt skin for $500 Australian. Damn expensive here. Hope it does the trick.

wow! that is expensive. best of luck with it. I have switched over to using ballistic nails for my sub floors. it's way faster and cheaper. not sure if that's allowed in OZ. thanks for watching

@@hammerandhome thanks for the reply , very good of you to take the time.👍👍 Yes , this is a little exercise in economics for me too ...I'd have been better off buying the complete kit rather than separately , screw gun and all , I think. Most of our decks here are hardwood , over hardwood bearers and joists , mostly due to bushfire hazard ...and our native hardwood is bloody hard , so nailing does become problematic on occasion...hence my excursion into the complicated world of screwing 😀😀 PS , Your videos are very nicely filmed with good close-up shots of the relevant features on display...top marks to your camera man / woman !!.

At least you didn't do what I did. I ordered the adapter for the 620 and ended up costing $150! And I'm pretty sure that the 620 is going to torque out on me when doing subfloor

@@xthekiwikidx8399 I'm afraid that is exactly what the Simpson tech guy told me.....too fast and not enough torque . Good luck ...who knows , maybe in softwood it'll be fine 😉 On a happier note , the cordless Dewalt recommended works just great , I put down 700 lineal metres of merbau into hardwood joists last week and barely a blink of trouble...they are a pretty good combo. Cheers mate.

Hey that was helpful. I am needing to replace small area for subfloors and drywall. Would ya do a part 2 for what end results?
@hammerandhome
@hammerandhome 3 жыл бұрын
thanks for watching, if your only doing a small area its not worth buying for that. I would say just use a regular Drill or impact driver to get your job done. we will probably be doing another video in the future

@@hammerandhome the other project we have is a small building that we are planning to drywall plus decking. Ya mentioned decking, have ya done any decking with it?
@hammerandhome
@hammerandhome 3 жыл бұрын
@@kingstonefish I haven’t done any decking with it. Most of my decks use a hidden clip system. It would be great for treated wood decks

Why ballistic nails vs screws? Screws have more holding power….

Scrails are faster. Just use your framing nailer
