I love this so much. I love Wangxian, but the most painful part of THE UNTAMED/ MDZS will always be that the siblings didn’t have a happy ending together. In my mind, after the canon, Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng work through it and are true brothers again.

You made me cry! This is so beautiful, their relationship as a brothers makes me so emotional. You showed Jiang Cheng part so well! I’ve seen many videos focusing on Wei Wuxian more and his sacrifice, but his younger brother was suffering too. He gave everything to his clan and family and his only friend was Wei Ying who made promise that he couldn’t keep, leaving his brother alone, even if it wasn’t his intentions. I hope people will see Jiang Cheng in better light. Thanks for your hard work and this beautiful edit!

After a million rewatches, I am convinced this whole genration was cursed. They all have a sob story. But for me, Jiang Cheng is the saddest. Growing up, he is closest to his brother, but he is also his biggest rival and JC never wins. His mother and fether love each other, but don't like each other, so he always has to tiptoe around that. His blood family all dies prematurely. He does not get the girl, and she also dies. WWX sacrifices his whole future for him and he has to live with the guilt of that. He has to pretend to fight his brother, disown his brother and pretend to kill him. And he never gets his dream of becoming the Two Pines with WWX. He doesn't even get to have Jin Ling in his sect. Poor baby just ends up angry and alone.

Jiang Cheng really does have very little outside his title at the end but I do take some comfort that he does have Jin Ling to look after even if, as you mention, not in the same sect.

i just discovered this and i'm crying because a lot of people hate jiang cheng and say he's so rude but i think he truly had one of the saddest life he wants to hate wei wuxian but he knows he can't, especially when he learns about "his" core and realize wei wuxian was always better, and nicer and would do things he wouldn't, and he spent years hating for no reason and he truly feels angry at himself i believe. and that was for me the saddest scene of the whole series i love how the situation is just so complicated between them, but in reality they both sacrificed so much for each other yeah, what a waste, we can't see them going through life hand in hand

It is truly one of the most heartbreaking parts of the story, and I think it is a shame that Jiang Cheng isn't always seen correctly by the audience. It is somewhat understandable, in a way, because we're following Wei Wuxian as the protag, but they both lost someone important to them with each other. I'd like to think they could meet again years down the road when all the hurt has mellowed out but even when two people have regrets for how things broke apart it isn't always that easy to resolve unfortunately :(

Waste is the perfect word to describe this...the novel wasted perfectly their relationship and I'm never gonna forget about this. And then what about Jin Ling, it's impossible Wei Ying would forget about him. At least in the drama we have an open ending, i still can imagine them, being brothers again and Wei Ying teaching Jin Ling how to fight when he comes back❤ They deserved better😢

This is a really so good video! It makes me sad to see what their relationship evolved into through time. I hope that they will regain some of the bond they once had, but it seems so hard for them. They have lost so much, and Jiang Cheng seems like such a lonley man, what is there left for him after all the anger has run out? If he would ever allow himself to show that he let it go and what would be his driving force? Sorry for writing so much but this video really made me sad.

i want you to know that i have only been rewatching this video every day for last 2 weeks... its truly the most poetic cinema of any the untamed video i have every seen. the way you show their relationship progressing buT ESPECIALLY the last 30 seconds where its just showing how they each essencially did get some sort of happy end or just found some place for themselves in the world but its not together because their relationship is too damaged now..... you cant even IMAGINE how many times i cried to this video, as in every time i rewatch it
