Shekhar Lakra I mean come on did y’all hear revival. Can’t blame people for saying that. Also when people say em has lost it they mean musically. Lyricism isn’t the only thing that goes into making good music. Something em was lacking in till Kamikaze came out. He seems to be a lot more focused on the music side of things on Kamikaze and it’s great. That’s what made em so special in his prime. He was really technical while still making good music.

The Are Kelly line went well over my head. Wow you guys are fire with catching these bars..
@amphibeingmcshpongletron50266 жыл бұрын
I think if you gave Eminem fans a test on the bars from their favorite songs, most probably wouldn't score above a C- or ~70% of bars that were fully understood. I have to listen to a song closely almost ten times to catch and understand enough bars to get a B or B+ without help from other fans like these guys. If you gave just the average rap/hip hop fan the same test, they'd probably either fail or get a D maximum. I'm sure most would complain that the test made no sense and that tests are for nerds anyway. They probably wouldn't score much better on a test of their favorite rapper's bars either. These dudes are ivy league professors in barology. Respect! I thought I had this one down before I heard some of their breakdowns. Too many youtube reactors just repeat the bar then spazz out saying how great it was without even getting into the deeper meaning. The beauty with Em's music is that it's so impressive that you don't even really have to understand it to know how great it is. Most times I hear an Em song for the first time, I'm like damn, that was great, but... let's take that back again...and again, and again...then after enough listens I'm in disbelief shouting "Holy shit!!! This is brilliant!"

“Unplugged Toaster” is a useless appliance (won’t heat up), and is also an MC who is not plugged in. (Toasting is MCing in Jamaican slang, and hip hop has roots in the Jamaican sound systems of the 60s and 70s via Kool Herc.) So it could mean an MC that has no power, and also one that doesn’t appreciate history. Or I could be reaching. But it still makes sense.

"Toaster" is a slang for "gun". And "Thug Poster" slangs to a "wannabe gangster". The last two lines, "Young thug poster, unplugged toaster" basically called MGK a young, wannabe thug, and a useless (machine) gun like an unplugged (bread) toaster. Lyrical depth. Bars.

I knew about it. He ran Rick Ross out for a few reasons. One of them being he talked trash on Em. I knew what em was referencing as soon as he said it so when mgk came with that bullshit line in rap devil I immediately knew he doesn't know his Hip Hop or he's just a liar. I'm leaning towards liar since he's a huge stan and since hes been caught in a lot of lies over this beef. Then when he sent his crew to beat the shit outta a guy while he never even showed his face at the beatdown AFTER accusing em of doing that exact thing...I knew he was an actual bitch bitch at that point. Y'all should check out a track called Welcome 2 Detroit. "All my gangsters and all my thugs, throw your hands up and show some love"
@Allyinks246 жыл бұрын
Trick trick issued the no fly zone because other artists from other labels came to Detroit and made money via concerts etc . but the same labels wouldn't sign Detroit artists or want anything to do for Detroit rappers . So he issued out Detroit being a no fly zone . For any rappers who perform in Detroit they need to check in with Trick before performing in Detroit .
