A Christmas Carol has been done many times in many forms - 'Scrooged' is definitely among the best, but a favorite in my house is 'The Muppets Christmas Carol' - we watch it every Christmas Eve, thoroughly recommend you watching if you've not seen it yet! You wouldn't think it so being a film with puppets, but it's a surprisingly faithful feel-good adaptation with a lot of heart & humor ... and the legendary Michael Caine as Scrooge just has to be seen to be believed!! ❤😁

My favorite (for personal reasons) is The Rich Little Christmas Special, with legendary impressionist Rich Little playing almost all the characters, as other people. WC Fields as Scrooge, Inspector Clouseau as Christmas Future, with appearances by John Wayne, Columbo, Edith Bunker, Paul Lynde, Groucho Marx... Another one of those where only us old farts (and those with a serious knowledge of American pop culture) will get the references.

Great reaction Biss like always, the last monologue by Murray was mostly ad-libbed on the spot? Director later said that Bill was in the zone and gave the performance of his life, spur of the moment. Love that whole ending act. Another fun fact from this movie: Bill Murray told Carol Kane (Ghost of Xmas Present) to just hit him as hard as she could to make it as good as possible for the bits. And she did, so all those times he gets nailed in the crotch or smashed in the face, were all real hits Kane did to Murra. "Bitch hit me with a toaster" was essentially a meme for 2 full years after that came out. Keep up the good work.

Maybe I do not remember correctly, but I thought I saw houses decorated the couple of years I lived there. Either way I hope one day you will be able to travel to the US and see the decorated houses. Every year I have to drive a long ways to see the family for Christmas. Part of the trip is through large farmland. It is very dark as it is in the middle of vast farmland, so not a lot of lights. I do enjoy driving through and seeing the farm houses all decorated and lit up across the fields. Even though all the decorations are not necessarily fancy and/or elaborate it still really puts one in the Christmas spirit. Hope you have a great holiday as well!
