Just made 50 wash cloths using this (for senior citizen home and DV shelter). Also used their smooth cotton and scruffy yarn. Combined them as well. ❤️

This is a very nice pattern! Have not tried this yarn before. Always used the ruff scrubbie stuff w/ cotton. And I didn’t mind using it thst way. Ppl love my scrubbies!! I’ll get some of this yarn n try it out. I give gift sets, towels, wash cloths, pit holders n scrubbies. Big hits!! I buy my towels at the dollar stores… I maje hit pads/pit holders to match them n also the wash cloths match. I buy dollar store gift bags n close em up fancy with ornaments or something cute with ribbons and such. Presentation is half the gift!! lol

I know this is really late, but in case you haven't tried this yarn yet, I'll warn you that this is a very abriasive yarn. I just made some scrubbies and found that i can only do a few before my hands start to hurt. Hope this is helpful.

I made some as well. Love how easy it was to work with compared to the netting. Only problem is, I tried it out yesterday to do dishes and this morning it is still sopping wet. Certainly does not dry like the tulle ones.

I guess I am a “scrubby” so I am willing to try different methods to make them. I used the scrubology yarn on a small loom for a scrubby and it is easy to wrap because of the stretch in the yarn. I haven’t finished it yet but it’s going well. My only complaint so far is that I have spent lots of time chasing the yarn because it becomes unwrapped very easily and doesn’t stay in one place. Any suggestions? Thanks for introducing me to this yarn. Mary

I have not tried using a loom with this yarn, not a fan of the looms. But I love this yarn for scrubbies.

I did think about using the loom for this, but it looks like there are a lot more steps. The hook method looks like it's a lot faster. Did you ever finish it? What did you think?

I really like this pattern, but it would be better for the environment to make them out of cotton, rather than nylon. It takes less than a year for cotton to break down, but it takes decades for nylon to break down. Just make 7 out of cotton, and put out a fresh one every day. They're small enough to just throw into the wash with your towels. Just use a coconut fibre scrubbie for the really tough stuff! Plus, the thought of using a scrubbie that's been sitting for a few days on dishes that you eat off is kinda gross anyway. 😝

I am using tulle at the moment until I can get to hobby lobby but my scubbie came out about a 2" circle what did I do wrong? I know scubbies are a tad bigger then 2"

I have not made this Pattern with tulle, so I don't know know if it comes out the same size. You may need to use a larger hook or loosen your tension.

It appears that you are tying a knot when you make the first circle. That’s what I did. When it came time to close the hole, it would not close. Are you tying a knot when you “snug down” that first circle?

It is not a "knot" but I call it a stay knot, Make sure you are stitching over your tail of yarn when stitching your first row so you can pull it closed.

Personally, I like the tutorials that goes slow and explains things good. I am hard of hearing and it takes a little longer for things to, I guess you could say, sink in. If you are a very seasoned crocheter, I guess maybe you might get bored with someone that is helping others. I really like the way you take your time and speak clearly and distinctly. Thank you for you very easy to follow tutorial. By the way, I am a 76 year old child.
