Do I have this correct? I have two remotes that are programmed properly and a third that each button opens both doors (which I don’t want). In order to get that third remote to function correctly, I need to use the yellow button (on both motor heads) to reset all and reprogram all, including the keypad to work properly, correct?

Recently had my truck stolen with my opener inside. Does doing this procedure eliminate the possibility of using the stolen remote to open my door?

You might try this method shown on their website to clear the remote 1. Locate the LEARN button on the MyQ Control Panel. 2.Press and hold the LEARN button on the MyQ Control Panel until the LED turns off. All previous codes are now erased. Reprogram each remote control and keypad you wish to use.

Can anyone confirm this for me- I had 1 of 2 garage door remotes stolen. I held the yellow button and cleared the remotes. Confirmed that the 1 remote I still have doesn’t open the garage door anymore. This would also mean the garage door opener stolen wouldn’t be able to open it right? Also, Now that the remotes have been cleared, can I use the same 1 I already had and reprogram it to open the garage door? If I do this does that mean the 1 that was stolen will also be able to open the garage door again? Just really confused. Thanks anyone for your help.

I missed when you initially entered your code on the ceiling unit. Did you do that? You erased the old code but magically your wall buttons and remotes etc...learned a code.

Some models have what is called a dip switch which house you flip numbers on switches to make a code. This one does not

Josh Hill brand of remote shouldn’t matter just tap once on the learn button on back of motor than click button on remote

Yes, as wheelchair said, a universal remote should work when you push the learn button on the back of the garage door opener motor. If you can find the brand of the remote you should be able to find instructions specifically for that one on the internet

Each time you press the learn button it allows you to add a remote BUT when you hold the learn button down too long it clears everything. You can add a remote without reprogramming everything if you press the learn button quickly

Homelink will still work after reset. Just sold my car, realized that I forgot to wipe the homelink mirror, and figured it would be fairly straight forward to reset it from the garage door console itself. Apparently not the case. I've tried this reset process a few times now, it definitely resets the openers, and the keypad, but my wifes homelink mirror still works, meaning the car I just sold still works. Kind of a problem... any idea how to reset the homelink mirrors without having access to them?

Press the learn button on the garage door opener motor. Then hold the learn button down on the wall mounted button until the led light turns off entirely. That will clear the remote codes. Unplugging the garage door opener motor will not do it
