I'm pretty sure Obito's weakness was kind of like Pain's weakness for his edo tensai (all mighty push) technique there's a time limit for how long he can stay intangible and how long he has to wait before using it again even if like a minute if not less. This is how he technically lost to Konan who had like a million paper bombs go off for longer than he could stay intangible but survived by sacrificing one of his eyes using Izanagi which basically in exchange of losing the sight and use of a sharingan he allows someone to cheat death.
