When batman is nerfed by plot it's not that big a deal because he's human, I can by him having vulnerabilities. How do you justify a man who's power is being faster than time itself having any vulnerabilities at all? His powers are so strong it makes you question the plot. The very premise of the story buckles under the weight of trying to make a story with such an overpowered character

Yea, but's in one of those cases where the 1% is an INSANE gap. Like why 99% of the speed of light is possible but 100% is not. Like how the top 1-2 players in a game are LEAGUES betters than 3-6. In the recent movie Flash sped up so fast everything froze, and he spent 100 years in this sped up time building a giant machine, and then died of old age. But in Realtime all anyone saw was flash disappear and instantly construct a machine and then die.

Bro Superman also flew to the edge of the universe and made his way back. If it’s true that as the universe constantly expands it gets faster infinitely, so fast to the point that there are some objects out that that the light will never reach us. Realistically he shouldn’t have made it back or there to begin with. With just that feat alone I can no longer see how flash is faster unless he did something similar. Because you can’t get faster than the expansion of the universe. So in general both reaching the edge and making it back should logically be impossible. And if I remember correctly he did it in a month. On his way back he obviously had to move significantly faster than he did heading there.

I love you Scru but speed doesn't equal strength. That's why the cheetah is by far the fastest thing in Africa but gets punked by so many animals. Flash is significantly faster than Superman but he cannot generate enough power to kill Superman. Superman can withstand thousands of stars exploding in his face. He's absolutely ridiculously powerful. That's part of the reason people hate him so much. This scene is actually the best scene from that dumpster fire known as the DCEU. It's actually comic book accurate. Yes Flash would slip like that. He has several times when surprised. Speed doesn't necessarily equal "strength", but it certainly works with Newtons Third Law. Put it this way, a body builder is stronger than a single bullet, but I guarentee you would rather get punched in the face by a man that lifts than get shot. Or for a more relative example, You'd rather get punched in the face by a professional lifter than an amateur boxer. My point is that Scru is right in his statement for the most part. I mean you're correct overall in your comment, but its just that one single statement was a little short-sighted, no disrespect.

When you hit something bigger/heavier/stronger than you, the impact force you attempt to transfer onto it will hit it first, then immediately disperse and redistribute a portion of said force back into you. Flash doesn't have the same durability Superman does, so when Flash hits Superman with a "Superman-level" punch the scenario plays out as such: Superman says "Ow" and Flash breaks every bone in his arm. Sure Flash can regenerate, but the amount of damage Flash would have to do to "severely injure" Superman would be like a bug splatting against a windshield while managing to crack it.

Superman can travel faster than light, because funny kryptonian reasons... If you take logic out of this equation, (which was the entire point of this comment chain btw, the logical physics of a super fast force meeting an immovable object) Superman's Physics would in almost all cases supersede (Pun somewhat intended) Flash's, because science applies way more to Flash than it does Superman. So they're limited by how much force something like their arm or hand can take from a punch based on how fast they throw it. I always thought that Superman being comparable to flash in speed was a dumb move by writers. When you take the coolest thing about one of the coolest characters who is built around that cool thing, and essentially give the same thing to your main superhero who already has a bunch of powers, it greatly cheapens the secondary cool character. Like, imagine iron man also being a super soldier comparable to captain America in addition to what he can already do.
