Scuba Diving Baby Blue 1960's Pickup Found Deep Underwater In Popular Lake!

A viewer thought he seen a vehicle deep in Lake Lanier, Georgia. We go out and find what he found and dive it. It was indeed a very old pickup.

I live in Gainesville Ga. right off Lake Lanier! Lots of vehicles in this lake! They flooded houses and barns and barbed wire fences too . Dangerous lake. A town called Oscarville was totally flooded to make this lake.

I don’t think it’s an Apache. I think the Apache had 4 small headlights like the gmc. I think this is a 62-66 Chevy c or k. Baby blue was common on the 62 and I actually used to own a baby blue 62 c10 long bed.

Yep. I had my Uncle's 1958 Chevy Apache and I drove it til I blew it up. I sold it to a guy for $50 in 1989. Two years later I got a call from a guy wanting to find the title because he had tricked it out and had it in a car show. He was asking $22,500. I nearly cried. Lol.

58-60 Chevy or Ford is like the red head step kids nobody likes. Coming from the owner of a 60 f100. 54-55 big money 61-72 approx. favored rides 58-61 = unpopular in general

That was a really deep dive for Adam, 60ft!!! I can't Imagine anything coming up if you try to pull it, it will probably just be a crumbled heap of metal on the river bottom. Maybe just leave it as a habitat for the fish. Great video!!!😍😻

@@angelam8026 It would be amazing to see, but Adam said as he was touching the metal, it was crumbling in his hands. If they do try to pull it up, it may pull apart into pieces. All the oil and gas is long gone. Unfortunately, it's just a fish habitat now.

Definitely a 60-66 chevy c10 and appears to be a long bed. Although there are still plenty of them alive that's my favorite truck ever, they do have wood bed flooring . My friend has 3 of them and they also have 3 longbeds driving around our neighborhood.

From what I can see on the sonar and the parts you pulled off of it it’s a 60 a 66 Chevy pick up I have a blue 65. Those are some of my favorite body style of Chevrolet pick ups.

100% that's a 60-65 Chevy truck horn button. The standard horn button was different for 66. Didn't really get a good look at the door and windshield pillars to tell if it's a 60-63 cab or 64-66 cab. Cool find for sure!

So cool. It looks like a late 59 or early 60s CK gmc . If only yous could have pulled it and restored it. Some parts are aluminum after 1960 and some parts are hard to get & worth money. Awesome dive Adam and Nug.

used to dive that lake back in the 70s when no boats present it was very clear diving, thats where i took my open water check out. i have a friend from where i used to work he only had one arm due to a printing press accident. he and a bunch of guys ,drinking and smoking where flying across the lake one night .and a lawyer in a blacked out very large boat was anchored in the channel. hes still up there some where they never located his body

You should do a search on accidents with description of vehicle. Old news stories may come up with possible match. I always wonder the stories of the vehicles, when it went in and how, about persons behind it, why they did it etc. Great job guys!

The t3 head was installed at the factory. Rare today to find a working ones. Think some remakes them. But this tells me the lights was not used often.

the current North Georgia Nursery is in Canton GA which is only about 15 miles or so west of Lake Lanier, according to google. If you are still in the area it might be worth a call or visit.

Got to love how in Southern mountain regions, when they dam up to make lakes., They bury old roads, towns etc. I lived in Tennessee and went swimming in areas where roads had been. Norris lake,Douglas lake,Cherokee lake. Guess should feel lucky didn't step or fall on a car in any areas. 😊

I am from the area around here Carters Lake, in Altoona Carters Lake in Lake Lanier, have all kinds of equipment, vehicles, and towns underneath the lake. Lake Lanier they filled up all kinds of churches graveyards and all kinds of other stuff that is still under the water today they just filled it up over things there’s even a gas station underneath it that is why is one of the most haunted lakes in Georgia and has the most deaths there is actually a town underneath it. Everything was left as it is when it was filled. Carter’s lake is somewhat the same way

What you thought was a spider web is actually a "bagworm" nest or what is left of it. A certain moth will lay ten ka-zillion eggs in a tree top and when the little green caterpillars hatch they build that g_d awful nest to protect themselves from birds, as they eat every leaf on the tree.....they are nasty.
