Just got my new Sculpey conditioning machine today. I've never used one before and was pretty excited by all the hype. But within a few minutes I was very disappointed. Even at the widest setting, the clay comes out VERY thin. The narrowest setting pulverized the clay altogether, turning it into crumbles!! Is this NORMAL??? If so, I think I'll be sending it back.

Aldi are selling a similar one in the UK for £6.99 (dated 15Nov22). Just bought one and pretty much identical to this one.

What setting are you using to condition?

I generally use the thickest setting to condition, to mix colors, and to do blends. The thickest setting is about 1/8” thick. This is also a good thickness for Sculpey Premo and Sculpey Souffle to have enough strength for unsupported projects like little dishes, jewelry slabs, and decorative pieces.

Found this video because I didn’t know the name of this and I wanted to threaten a friend that I would do it to them

Wow, this is a complete rip off. I have this model, only mine is called a pasta roller (the two slots at the back are where you attach the cutters). Half the price of this from Amazon. You're basically paying more money just for the Sculpey logo.

Yes, that how they stay in business. Employees probably get paid a higher wage.
