Not sure if this is what you'd be after, nor do I know if Blender has it, but try looking into Booleans - they're good for "cutting out" geometry, or adding to it based on another shape

Yeah I guess when it came to blending in that cube, I confused myself with having to use the bridge command lol. Should've booleaned the cube in, then locally dynamesh that area. But for simpler connections/holes, bridge is definitely the best

These are in fact in blender under the modifiers tab

@@now_man253 Ah thank you for letting me know! I'm far too accustomed to 3DS Max, though I have been tempted to look more into blender and see what sorts of things it could benefit me with

Wow. I learned more about blender's tools here than most tutorial vids, some I'll definitely try in my own projects. Thank you.

Yeah, I wish smooth had a dyntopo option. I often have to first lightly sculpt something (to add verts), then use the smooth on it.

about 7:00 ... if you want to join in a new part to your sculpt, do it with EDITMODE-Booleans because remeshing destroys details ;) soooo.... - object-mode > join the two mesh-objects - goto editmode > select the new part of the geometry - hit CTRL+F > intersect boolean DONE :)

This is my favorite series on youtube right now ^^ made me want to use the vr sculpting to make and 3d print minis for a rpg board game i am making. Hope you are doing well and keep up the good work ^^

There's a Boolean modifier you could use that to connect other objects and sculpt on top of that

Oh wow I just looked it up, that's a fun feature. But honestly, I prefer the simple bridge in Blender - much more precise control over what is connected to what

08:48 Can't you use some sort of rope-sim on a few bones on that part to make it behave physically, or even just something jiggle physics?

If you want dyntopo while smoothing then you can use the add brush with a very low strength and a high auto smooth setting. Hope this helps. :)

the 3d cursor is at the very heart of blender, but you have to study about it to fully realize that.

I'm really surprised people are actually into VR content these days. I remember like a year ago very few people would watch my VR videos. Good time for VR lol

@BoroCG I really enjoy the possibilities it offers. But if it doesn't do well in the algorithm I get that. I got myself Shapelab too but I am having weird framestutters and didn't found a fix so far. So not really using it currently.

@@BoroCG I'm very interested in VR and sculpting. I didn't like Adobe medium or stuff like that since it isn't really like blender/zbrush sculpting, it's more like 3D drawing, however, shapelab is a software with a workflow I like and for its pretty cheap price I think I'll use VR for sculpting more often.
