I use a stand with my Wacom Intous. To some it´s really dificult to get used to draw in a tablet with no screen, so it´s not for everyone. I use an 8BitDo mini because the keyboard its too confusing for me. I have had screen tablets and the experience is better for sure, now I´m getting a 15in this week for less 100usd, so I couldn´t resist. I don´t see the necesity of having a bad posture. My problem is the price and durability of the screen drawing devices.

The panel is different in general, so the colors are better, but all I know is I wouldn't like FullHD, since I like seeing fine textures etc. Even though I don't look at its screen while drawing on it, and only look at it as a secondary screen

Average modern skyscarper floor is about 4m. More expensive are often 4,5m or even 5m. Construction beams are very wide, and you have raised floors and suspended ceilings for all cables, ducts etc. so construction floor is about 1m taller than useable height. Spaces are very big and deep inside, so you need to have hight to get more light and have good proportions, so 3m of useable height is really minimum. Less than that and you feel like you are in a cave. Some floors like lobby, sky lobbies and top floors are often much taller, 10m or more.

I think that an array modifier would have worked great for this. It would make it even more modular, controlling height and width with just a slider. And if you plan on making many of this, making a geometry node to automate the process is a no-brainer. Also, I think that the reflection and translucent glass looks different between the "material shading" view and the "rendered" view. Maybe it doesn't fix any of the issues you mentioned, but just to keep in mind...
@BoroCG
@BoroCG 6 күн бұрын
Thanks, geometry nodes are of course the final solution for this haha In terms of the array: it's a great quick tool, but I don't really like that I can't get instanced objects out of it later. I may be wrong, but the only way to go from an array modifier is to apply it, and then maybe split by loose parts, which will create a bunch of objects with origins at the same place
@BoroCG
@BoroCG 6 күн бұрын
Also with arrays, the glass shader wouldn't be able to randomize the wobble noise per instance, so all windows would smoothly transition into one another
@LautaroLosio
@LautaroLosio 5 күн бұрын
@@BoroCG Yeah, I think you're right. Obviously there are workarounds with the modifier, like giving each instance a UV offset. But this would lock you down to using UV as the texture coords...

@LautaroLosio 6 күн бұрын
What I don't like about the X-ray mode is that by default it's just the wireframe mode, which is sometimes very hard to work with. The workaround I've found is to enable xray in the default solid shading mode, this way it shows the faces AND the xray, so you can easily see what's behind the faces and even select it.

You should try new AI addon for Krita. As you know, Krita is free and so is addon which uses Stable diffusion. It performs much better than photoshop AI if you have somewhat decent graphics card and you have much more creative control over the process (by choosing your model, lora etc.). Can even train your own model on just your art. And it has real-time preview as you describe at 6:45

I want to know (talking about the Marvel clip showcasing displacement) - is that a landscape or a mesh that they’re showing? It looks like they’re layering things, like the depressions of the tyre tracks, how are they achieving that?? Like are the tyre tracks a masked decal type thing that can also displace??

I'm so unbelievably tired of the witch-hunts around current day emerging technologies. I'm not saying that "anything goes" or that "you should just let it happen". Personally I want to be informed about what's happening in the world around me, without having to buy an Adobe subscription and trying to figure it all out myself. All this new tech is prohibitively expensive for someone like me who's not an artist, nor using it for any sort of work. Pandora's box has opened and I loath when, out of fear, people attempt to avert the eyes of everyone else, and act as thought it either doesn't exist or hasn't been opened. I've always appreciated your head-on approach to new tech, and I hope you'll continue do what YOU think is right, even if it's buckling to a disgruntled portion of the populous
