Today was a step away from our traditional POV vlog videos. I wanted to tap into a couple of topics that speak on the other aspects of being a truck driver that didn't include the driving aspect. Hope you all enjoy!

As far as showers.. pilot, flying J loves are great shower across this entire country, I love them.. laundry in all of them too.. also if you fuel at just pilot or flying J buy end of your 1st month you'll use 1,000 gallons of fuel, once you reach that you get shower power on your card meaning unlimited showers for the remainder of the month and the following month.. I've had shower power for the last 7 years.. I could take 2 showers a day and never run out..

Get a planet fitness membership. They are all around the US so you can find one along your route. $20 a month. That should help your shower situation.

You are doing great Tiki, keep it up! I tried Schneider for about 3 weeks in 1993 West Sac CA, during worst winter, lol. Ended up waiting a lot for roads to clear up before we could get on the road again. Liked the company. I ended up driving doubles (tomatoes) for a couple years in the Central Valley (Merced CA), then back in the military driving fuel trucks refueling airplanes. Retired Air Force now watching KZbin, love your channel. I'm 57 retired. Advice, do what your doing (to get your experience) to do what you want for your future. Sometimes it just takes a little time of paying your dues so to speak to get what you want in the future or just to be able to have more opportunities open to you because of the experience. I did the 2 years in the truck just in case I wanted to do Tankers but instead the military opportunity came my way and that worked for me. Do your road Tiki, don't let those old farts get to you! This is my first ever comment, see I'm learning still. Lol.

Hi Tiki, I enjoy your channel. I hope you get a new trucking gig soon. I am in CDL school, and have contemplated the shower and dirty dish thing myself. My solutions are specialty wipes. For body: Nurture Ultra Thick Bathing Wipes. They work fantastic. For dishes: Eat Cleaner Food Grade Wipes. I bought both on Amazon. As a camper, hunter, dirt biker, and former military I know what it is like to be without baths, and clean food ware. These are modern solutions to an old problem. I hope you enjoy them.

Buy a hot kettle and collapsable "sink," warm up some tap water for a military shower in the truck. Some fuel islands have water besides inside

I make platinum every mouth. Takes 1000 gallons of fuel a month then I get as many showers and drink refills that I want.

Fuel 50 gallons at PFJ and you get 1 shower credit but it will expire. If you fuel 1000 gallons at pfj in the previous month you will earn shower power which I believe is unlimited showers for the month.

You get one shower with 50 gals of fuel. The showers fall off like in 7 days from time of fuel so you wont be able to build up a big stash of them lol. So get fuel today you have to use that shower up with in a week. Keep up the great vids.

If you get a chance ,and don't have time to wash your clothes try to stop at your local grocery store and purchase the clorox clothes sanitize it help refresh your clothes until you get to do your laundry again just a tips. Thanks for the vlog !

Another great video. I was wondering about the shower situation as well. Baby wipes are a good in between look. Dude Wipes are another option (Thanks to 50 plus Trucker). Keep showing how to stay clean on the road. I'm sure a lot of truckers need these tips.

I shower every night to every other night. We use loves and only once have I ever declined taking a shower and that was at skippers loves on exit 4. The rest I have found to be really clean.

Gotta get 60 gal of fuel to get a free shower credit.. Fill up a certain amount that get you into gold, platinum, or diamond status & the showers are unlimited

50 gallons equals 1 shower every time you fill up 1000 gallons a month equals shower power for the following month meaning one shower a day for free

Here in the Midwest, seems that A LOT of the Pilot/FlyingJ/Loves are not offering showers. SUCKS. Short on staff or broke water heater, lots of excuses. I haven’t been buying anything from the truck stops they don’t have showers going other than the fuel. At least TA still offering showers. Good luck on your journey. Swift driver myself.

You handled it a lot different then I would have. 😅 Rolling our drawers and shirts is how we stowed our gear on a Navy Ship!! Rolling saves ALOT of room. Shoot..back in my day we showered once a month uphill both ways while backing into a dock blindfolded and shifting gears. 😅 Change the title to:” Tiki’s Laundry Thoughts” lol

Technically no, but PilotFlyingJ is the place that Schneider gets the best deal, so they make us fill up there instead of filling up at other truck stops. In case of emergency we can definitely fill up at Love's!

I would lay a thick ass towel down in my truck, fill a bowl of water with body wash, get a clean wash rag and wipe my body down with a wet soapy wash cloth. Probably be better than wipes.

Wait until they start pushing you more and more and and then you don't have no time to take no showers during the week only when you get a 34 hour shut down and that's every 2 week when they get to that point

Yes they did! They found the small air leak, it was a kink in the air hose, the fuel tank was rotated, and the cargo lights under the bed shut off now! There was also an excessive power draw from those under bunk lights because of a loose wire and they fixed that. My inverter was all good this morning! I definitely would have sent the truck straight back if it wasn't situated at all for sure!
