Are the links on the deadbolt from a gladiator? I'm getting ready to try all gladiator links on mine. Love the look of yours hope mine ends up similar! Thats about the baddest 24 I've seen. I also have one of those injora frame kits with all deadbolt suspension, and probably will do the same to it. Dang dude, that's a badass piece of machinery! Looks a bit high CG, with the lift. If you fix the body mount, and move the battery, you could lower it a bit. I'd like to see more videos of it crawling. When i look at this one, i see a desert buggy trail truck. I really like those bodies.
@2fmrc4 жыл бұрын
Mrs. Rabbit yeah it’s a bit high now. I really just tossed that body on however it would work for now. I was running the stock body and it would go everywhere lol. Already had the magnet in place on the tray so I just glued one to the body and slapped it on. I’ll probably work with it later if I have trouble with it. It still out crawls any of my other trucks and a couple of my buddies trucks easily lol. Like almost every line on my home course is just simple with this thing. Where as you have to really try with the others. The first line where I used 4ws is a bit harder with this truck just because it is so long that the front catches the lip of the 2nd climb but other than that spot it kills everything else. I plan to get it out on some real stuff eventually but I’m in Ky and it just keeps RAINING! Thanks for watching!
@MrsRabbit84 жыл бұрын
@@2fmrc yeah that thing is a badass machine! I can see that it needs some tinkering, obviously the body is very cool, and that if you wanted a strickly comp crawler you'd pick a different body, i can see that for sure. I really want to see what this thing can do with all the kinks worked out. What ive been contemplating lately is the battle between different style setups. 1. Crazy articulation comp crawlers. Or 2. Limited articulation. Both have their pros and cons. If I had that body, (saw it on Bullgearrc yt channel), i think id want it on a desert buggy trail runner. If i might make a suggestion that i think will help make that thing a supreme crawler (though it already is very good)... Get 2 drone batteries, run them in parallel, and place them on both sides next to the motor/trans. You can either buy the skids, or make them with styrene (what i did). This lowers CG, and clears a path for the servo. Then fix the rear body mount to clear the path for the rear servo. Then you can raise the shock mounts to lower the rig a bit, which will lower CG. A little belly drag isn't too bad and helps prevent tipping when a downhill wheel is too low. The side skid plates also help with that, considerably. Looking forward to seeing more of this thing out in the wild!

Great build. BTW how did u install the charisma shocks onto the frame and axles. The screws that came with the shocks are too big to put them on the frame. And the longest screws that came with car are too short to use them.

I used some long hot racing screws that came with a couple of the diff covers I have. Put some no.2 washers on them to keep them from popping through the eye on the carismas. Works great. Really just need some longer screws and some small washers. Wish they came with some better mounting options.

Hey Matt how do you like the hot racing massive diff cover with skid plate? I like that it is heavier than the other options I just wondered if it also hindered clearance any?
@2fmrc4 жыл бұрын
I like it pretty well. I’m gonna take the skid off because it hangs up a lot. I even thought about grinding off the sharp edges on the brass to round it out a bit. Honestly I’d probably buy the one that’s a little less weight and don’t have the skid included. It’s not any bigger than stock and probably wouldn’t hang up as bad.
