I don’t know if you have fixed the power issue yet or if you will even see this comment but I believe the power problem is caused by the one battery split into 2 esc’s. It’s like running each of the esc’s on 1 cell opposed to 2 cell. Perhaps using two battery’s, one into each esc would give it more speed and power.

Could be! I may have to try that. They are some tiny motors so I really didn’t expect much of them. I’ve been meaning to try mounting up some bigger motors with the same setup. Would be much better I’m sure.

I would also like to request demensions of components you have had to alter such as the servo bracket for reefes servo you've had to cut down I would like to try and make direct fit brackets I see alot of people alter them and there are not a whole lot of bracket options for aftermarket servos

I found a motor/gearbox on Amazon with longer output shaft. QMseller micro speed reduction motor 12V 200rpm w/ full metal gearbox. I wonder if the gearbox is the same dimensions as the one your using??

There are several different version so it may be. I actually have another set that I’m going to try to fit in another one of these builds at some point. Not sure when I’ll have the time but it’s on the list lol

no reason why you cant use a double stick TX, thats how ive set up several MOA crawlers and that was before the radios that controlled mixing options. I used a V tail mixer to run the motors and steering inputs to get all options just using the sticks, one side for each axle and the external Vtail mixer allowed to blend power. Use what your comfortable with.

Compared to sticks the time it takes for you to get to your end points on a wheel is faster than a stick. for FPV free style its rare to bang end points for driving its mandatory. I picked up the new felony. I never thought rc cars can give me as much of a rush like FPV freestyle drone flights. im happy to have revisited this part of my history. cheers!

Also try removing your springs to crawl better and a 3 or 4 channel micro plane reciver will shave some weight.. if you reverse your polarity on your front motor , might keep the programming more simple, then adjust your transmitter settings to less expo, with increased throttle trim on your front tires will help as well. So your front tires engage first , have more wheel speed then. Your rear wheels.. that should really help for crawling.? This dig is cool on that scale, but if you play with your pals, then set a faster wheel speed in front and you will be out performing your friends rigs pretty easy

No. You’d have to have two lizards and a transmitter that does channel mixing to run them together or separately. The new Flysky g7p does it for fairly cheap but it’s a bit of a process to figure out really. These n20 motors are pretty weak also. I’ve now just totally abandoned this motor setup. Just too weak for me lol

I believe most people upgrade to the RC4WD Goodyears at 54x19mm, or the Scramblers at 61mmx22mm, as they’re a much better compound. The Nittos are about 54-56mm tall, and the compound is a little hard. Also, the Hobby Plus CR18 tires are a good upgrade, they’re the same size as the Nittos, but much softer.

Im running this set up and having issues with the front shaft binding on the link. Im running HR 4 link. Also if im flexing on the front my shaft pops loose. Any suggestions or fixes if you had this issue would be very helpful... Thanks.

Do you have the triangular hot racing link in the front? Just asking because my hot racing links were not 4 link. They just came with the stock triangular setup for the front. I made my own links for mine and extended it quite a bit so I haven’t had any issue. If the driveshaft is popping out it’s either too short or you’re getting way too much travel from the shocks and may need some limit straps or something. I had to lengthen my shafts also. I’m running the long driveshaft front and rear. Hope this helps!

@@tiredofinsanity heck yeah!! I have the Capra and that was really my inspiration for this. I love that dig feature! You’ll definitely need a transmitter with mixing capabilities. I really like my dx5r but normally only use it for my race trucks. Now I have a reason to use it a little more I guess lol. Are you running the stock transmitter with your Capra? If so then you could get a receiver for it and run it on a new transmitter as well. I did that with my Capra so I could put the dig on a 3 ways switch and have freewheel! It works great

@@2fmrc currently I am running the one that came with. Through a series of events I ended up with two capra's and four scx24s 2 trucks 2 jeeps. This stuff is new to me. I normally build full scale crawlers and buggies but fell in love with the "3rd person view" of rc. Turns out other than soldering and a little of the suspension my off-road building skills so t translate as much as I'd hoped to rc😂 videos like yours are really helpful and appreciated. As far as the dig goes one of my jeeps has an atlas 4speed tcase. It allows for front wheel drive with three different low reduction ratios and 2w rear also selectable ratios and 4wd but can still have different ratios or the same if needed. The wheeling that provides is why I wanted the dig. I love it!

It’s a castle micro sidewinder esc with the Holmes revolver motor. Smoothest setup I’ve ran for the scx24 by far! Just hard to come by now.

For my C10s I’m really liking the old man emu shocks from rc4wd. Running at full droop. I’m running rock creepers and boggers on them now but I’m probably gonna switch one of them to these Thornbirds soon just to try them on the c10.

@@justinperkins1971 it’s supposed to be basically a direct swap with a deadbolt. You flip the front links to the rear and the rear to the front. I didn’t care for the way it sat in that setup so I did make my own links to make it much longer. So I also had to use a longer driveshaft.

You could try taking those springs out of the shocks.. another thing you might try is to drill a hole on the inside of the rim just large enough to put some bbs or lead shot into those front tires and a little into the rear as well.. that should help out quite a bit..

@@mb9996 I’m gonna try to keep weight out of the wheels on this one. I run weight in all the others but with the low power setup on this one I’m staying away from rotational weight. I have a set of treal brass front hubs that I just installed. I’m gonna check the weight of the rig and get it set at 60/40 and run with that for now. I want as little weight as possible but thought the added weight from the hubs in the front would give it that extra front weight I need.

The ones I’m running on this rig are the rc4wd competition beadlocks. The only thing I don’t 100% like about them is they don’t use a hex. They mount to the pins only. They work fine but it’s just an odd design to me.

Hey I just picked up the c10 I’m having an issue we’re it drives in reverse on its own, I’m really confused and there is no throttle trim adjustment on the ax-4 transmitter, any help is appreciated thanks

I would try to bind the transmitter to the receiver again and see if that helps. If not it’s probably something wrong with the esc. I’d definitely contact axial or whoever you bought it from about the issue.

This motor might fit the bill to install the gear reduction onto. @@2fmrc Honestly, I just got my scx24 a few weeks ago. My 2 girls just got theirs for xmas. In time I plan to build a fully custom SCX24 rig. I have several irons in the fire with 1/10th scale stuff. I have a pretty bad ass capra and trx4 that is complete. I am 80% finished with my toyzuki v2.5 and I got a Holmes Hobbies Sherpa expert kit to build for xmas. I just spent about $320 in tires, wheels and weights to get these up and going better. I dropped about $80 at Full Send's doorstep for some great brass parts. That was after the 15% discount. Thank you very much for that.
