Sd.Kfz. 251, Carro Medio M13/40 and Autocarretta OM CRCS open day September 2022

A German half track, followed by an Italian medium track and a twin-steer OM 32mountain truck operated by the Italian Alpini mountain troops in WW2.
CRCS Onlus is a historical military vehicle association based in the former Italian Army barracks "Sante Patussi", north of Udine, in the north-eastern Italy.
I was based in Udine when I did my military service in 1997/98, but I was in infantry, so there were no armoured vehicles in my barracks.

Nice to see these old vehicles running 👍🏼 I help out from time to time on the Maginot Line Forts and there’s a lot of Second World War vintage vehicles but rarely armour like this. Takes me back to Soltau Plain on exercise😊

The Maginot line must be very interesting. I've always been interested in the Battle for France of 1940 and in French uniforms and equipment of the time.

@@patricksmodels Thé whole concept was fantastic. Just a shame it wasn’t finished in time because France was still suffering from lack of manpower to build and man it. Superb works of engineering ! The early war period is fascinating because of the variety of tactics used and the fighting withdrawal to Dunkirk. The French kit always had an air of élan, didn’t they? My particular interest is with the (38th Irish) Brigade in the North African Campaign and the Italian Campaign. I’ve a lovely Italeri AB40 Ferroviaria in 1-35 to build on railway track somewhere near Tobruk. If only I could motorisé it…..! If you’re ever in the Metz region and want to see the Maginot Line let me know. Some Forts are better than others😊 Ian

Grazie! Io ho visto dei Leopard della Ariete ai tempi del servizio militare, ma nulla a confronto di questo spettacolare M13/40. Un trittico veramente spettacolare, video girato da mia moglie, perché il mio telefono era andato in tilt (non riuscivo ad uscire dalla schermata Google Maps 😅😅😅)

Wow, what a video! Three functional vehicles that would worth a little documentary film each (even four, if we consider that Kübelwagen ).... Great! CRCS Onlus also has a site, I see, they had quite many projects there (volunteers mostly?). Very nice! Thank you for the video, Patrick, have a great week-end! / Chris PS - I also had military service in infantry, in 2001, but we belonged to the Air Force... Some old and still reliable vehicles in the barracks court, many of them made in USSR - radar trucks, half-track artillery tractors or some AA guns.

In 2022 I hadn't restarted my KZbin channel, otherwise I would have filmed more in detail. I'll have to return to one of these events. I'm interviewing in all things military, I'll dedicate some videos to this topic. My wife also enjoyed seeing these tracked vehicles, she had only ever seen TABs of the Curtea de Argeș Vânători de Munte battalion. She shot the video for me.

@@sambresciano4949 rispetto ad un CV era medio 😅. I carri M erano ispirati ai Vickers anteguerra, che gli italiani avevano incontrato nella sua interpretazione sovietica T26 durante la Guerra di Spagna. Sviluppato per un utilizzo in territorio metropolitano, con strade strette e territorio montuoso, non era il mezzo ideale per la guerra di carri nel deserto. Ma quello c'era ed i nostri carristi sono spesso riusciti a fare l'impossibile.
