What isn’t mentioned is that the first few times that the Martin Baker system was used, the lower bolt on the system failed, resulting in AC fatalities.

My dad and grandpa directly contributed to the development of this system at CONVAIR. They were brave heroes eho scarificed their health for the benefot of the program. They were instrumental to the program, one might say. They were the ejection dummies.

Thanks for the video. Dad did 20in the Air Force, starting off as a jet engine mechanic after the Korean War, retiring as line chief. The F-102 was his favorite airplane to work on.
