If you have all 3 SDCC EXCLUSIVES. You should do a diorama with all 3 using lights and shadows. Maybe a paper background!

Just checked out the website. Being new to the hobby and going to your site was overwhelming seeing all of the different customs and dioramas. I was looking for a store or shop link expecting you to have classes or things for sale. I’m not sure if you plan on doing that ever but with the experience and portfolio I’m sure you could make a successful store as well. Thanks for the ability to win the exclusive. Fingers crossed.

Thank you. Yeah, I've thought of doing a store, but I honestly don't have a lot to sell. Maybe someday.

The website is great but as for a diorama... How about a downed LAAT with Battledroids taking up flanking positions to take out the survivors.
@rebelscale Жыл бұрын
Oooh, that could be fun.

The website is awesome! The only thing I would try to improve upon is having more pictures of variants or more pictures in general of the toys. I know some items may be hard to come by though… $$$ A cool diorama would be using the 3 storyboard ships in a dogfight scene. Encased in plexiglass with the storyboard picture on the back wall. This is something I’ve been wanting to do but haven’t quite figured out how to do it
@rebelscale Жыл бұрын
Yeah, pics are hard to get of all the variants. I gave up on all the Action Fleet variants (most of which I didn't know of until I started making the website).

Dude, your website is awesome! User friendly and easy to navigate. Years ago, I was looking for Action Fleet scale list and your site pop-up. Hooked to it ever since....... I love AF and your list helps me to find the relevant scale for other parts for dioramas. Thanks for sharing your modelling techniques. You inspire me to create/customise vehicles that are unproduced SW by any toy line. The idea is to have fun and enjoy the process of building along the way. I did!!! For diorama, Battle of Scarif (space or land). I think the cinematography is great to be captured in 3D models..... and it would be lovely to see clear resin used for the beach landings.

Really appreciate you doing such a generous giveaway! I’ve used your site for a few years for the TFA Micro Machines (RIP), Hot Wheels (Also RIP), & now MGS. One small suggestion for the MGS scale list would be putting the #0000 numbers or wave of the vehicle next to the name. Maybe even the approx year of release for vehicles in other lines. Probably more difficult to implement but having an image appear when highlighting the vehicle name could be useful.

I like the idea of putting the box numbers in there. I know that some people have found errors with some misprints, but I could still add those maybe

Hello Jonathan! I've been a big fan of your website since finding it in late 2016. I find all the scale lists so useful for matching scales for my own dioramas and customs while also enjoying your brief reviews of the MGS line, both written and video. I guess my only real suggestion would be to include a link to the Imperial Era on the Altaya subsection in the toy archives for ease of navigation but I feel like that's just a nitpick. Anyway, I hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday and keep up the good work!
@rebelscale Жыл бұрын
You know, I had thought about just making an Imperial Era under Altaya as well. I'll definitely have to add that.

Thank you for the awesome videos and the amazing site. The site has been such a terrific resource to find missing action fleet items or even alternative lines that carry something. It has been an awesome resource for collectors. One thing I thought would be an awesome add on, would be a trading section for collectors. Just to post things they are looking to find or to sell in order to connect collectors. Just food for thought. Keep up the awesome work! Ps. Thank you for the contest...your rock!

Great website with tons of great info. I love the breakdown of all the different ships and facts about Action Fleet and the current list of MGS and what's upcoming. As someone that hasn't gotten into custom painting but really wants too, the technique pages on the site are great. Would love to see more videos though! It's an intimidating hobby to start with so much out there. One day I'm going to finally start! As for diorama, I know it wouldn't be as exciting as battle scenes, but I'd love to see a rebel hanger. Yavin 4, Hoth, Home One, any would be awesome. I've always loved the scenes from the movies of the chaos of the battle prep in the hangers with all the ships parked and the people running around gearing up!

I love your website! It is simple but easy to use, and I have used the scale section multiple times. I also really like your reviews of the MGS line - I really like how you've kept up to date on the line. Also your dioramas are really cool - I think you've come up with some really unique ideas like the snowspeeder altered for sea travel. Honestly I wish I could come up with ideas good enough to match that!

I don't know if you know but there's these 2 ft cylindrical vases at walmart. Perfect for 3" ships. It would be cool to make it look like ships where hanging or suspended and turned into some sort of lamp!! Or just making any sort of cool diorama/ turned into a lamp! Not to many more ideas.

Checked out your website. I think it would help if you had an intro or did a short description of what the website is about. What are the main features or things that can be found in your website vs others. Maybe add some links to other social media? Add newer content or up and coming content in the slide bar. This keeps things fresh and relevant.

Hey sir, the website is great. So much information for everyone- scale fanatics, updates, MSG Series with photos and such. As far a dioramas, I'd like to see a scene from the Bad Batch since we have all the characters...they have multiple scenes with Havoc's Marauder on the ocean as the crew was "recovering" an item or a scene from the island home that they help rebuild. Just a few thoughts. Good luck with resting the the 3 year old I believe.

Probably hard to do but really cool diorama: space battle scene between X-wings, A-Wings and the 181st TIE Interceptors (I plan on painting a couple of the MGS TIE Interceptors as 181st)! I think you’d probably have to suspend them with black thread and a star filled backdrop, maybe an Imp Star and a MonCal Cruiser as well…
@rebelscale Жыл бұрын
That would be big, but definitely cool to do.

Hi, I came across your website while generally searching for MGS information when I started collecting MGS about 2 months ago. When looking at your scale information I tried clicking on the items name thinking it might link to a picture. Honestly, was a little disappointed it did not link. Then I actually read the page, originally just scanned for the data, and saw you mentioned Action Figure 411's Visual Guide of boxed ships and had that hyperlinked. I was pretty happy about that. So I went back to your data and flipped pages when I wanted to see a picture of the craft you were mentioning. Needless to say, every time I wanted to see a picture I had to search through 411's pics. So, I think it would be helpful, if you have the time, if you make the direct link between your crafts names and their exact picture. But, end of the day, I still find your site very good, helpful, and a place I see myself going to often. I already noticed you cover many lines and have used your info for Galoob micro machines as I have collected some titanium ships over the years. Thank you for all the work you have put into your site. Kindest Regards, Charles

Got some cool stuff on your site. It's easy to use but a bit text heavy (though informative). Maybe more pictures to break the chunks of text. Maybe even try the starwars Legends vehicles from the novels. I'd love to see a z'ceptor or any of the other ships mentioned. For diorama a partial fleet of the dreadnaughts (AKA the katana fleet) or the darksaber (the death star laser wo any of the outer casing) firing on a planet both of which are in the legends stories. No longer canon sadly.
@rebelscale Жыл бұрын
Oh I do love the z-ceptor. And there's been some speculation that the Vesper cruisers (based on the Joe Johnston Mon Cal Dreadnaught concept) may become the Katana fleet. We'll see. I do like the old Dreadnaught design though.

I think your website would benefit from not having gray/dark gray behind the text. It will look more professional without contrasting border of the text/image field and the cream background. Make it more tidy and it’ll look more professional.
@rebelscale Жыл бұрын
I truly have thought about changing the text to black with white background. It would be a lot to change everything though, especially because it's just me doing it. If I had a web design guy, I probably would go ahead with that clean look.

Understandable, I know it can be a lot of work. I’d volunteer but I’m not great at web design so I’d likely make it worse. I appreciate the reply and hope I make it in the running.

Your website is really good, however, it looks a little too simple, especially the color palette needs improving. I suggest, doing different logo variations, because it needs updating and implement different banners with a nicer looking color scheme for each section of your site, maybe have the banner change with each section, when you click on scale lists, toy archives etc. Add in nice Star Wars backgrounds that change daily, behind the main page, right now its just a simple beige colour with the website dead center, fill up that background space with some color, rather than having it blank and too plain looking. You could add in a kyber crystal animation beside each drop down menu, that glows when you hover over it. Maybe add an option to view the website in the light side color palette or the dark side color palette. Add in an option to make the text bigger, if need be, for those with less than perfect vision. Being Star Wars related, you should try and implement lightsabers in some way, even if its only for aesthetic purposes. Add in a section about all your favourites Star Wars characters and why, i know you have one on Asajj Ventress, but add in more, what you like or dislike about a variety of characters and your views on what they got right in the movies and what they did not. You could even add in a Jedi vs Sith section. You could add in a special drop down menu on the left side, dedicated to Star Wars Characters and have specific symbols next to each section, like the Imperial logo for all Imperial characters, Boba Fett symbol (The Fett crest) beside the bounty hunters option and so on. I do like the nice clear thumbnails on your website, the layout is neat and spread out nicely, easy to navigate, plus you provide a lot of valuable and helpful information, so my suggestions are to help it stand out even more, what do you think? Hope this helps.
@rebelscale Жыл бұрын
Ooof. Thank you for all the feedback, but that would be a lot to implement. I do really like the idea of doing more character pages where I talk about my favorites and least favorites. New image sliders might be cool too for each section.
