Thanks for you advice i will call then garage and book a thermostat change , i thought the quote of £500 was too much and could do it myself, but after seeing this video i think i will take your advice.

Few pointers bud, firstly that belt you keep referring to as the timing belt... its definitely not the timing belt it's the aux belt, secondly would be much better to use a funnel when refilling the coolant reservoir instead of getting it everywhere, thirdly you don't need to remove the front bumper to do this job and you don't actually show you changing the thermostat housing which is the most important information of the actual job. Anyone can remove a belt tensioner and alternator bud

Any ideas,my belt kit has just been changed,maybe coincidence but my temp gauge is going up as normal but when you drives it goes down until you stop then goes back to normal

@billj20 could be coincidence or maybe something went wrong with the work that was done, either way ur temp gauge should slowly rise to 90 then pretty much sit there solid no matter what the driving conditions
