Welcome to Sea Doo Adventures - Episode 144 - Sea Doo Switch & Shipwrecks.
In this video it is a beautiful Day and the waters of Georgian Bay are getting Glassy. So I have the family join me on the Switch and we head out to enjoy the crystal blue waters of Georgian bay and even stop and see some old shipwrecks near the town of Wiarton. Hope that you enjoy the ride Cheers!

We took our boat from Cleveland, OH to the Georgian Bay when I was a kid in the early 90s. We were stuck in a city called Kincardine, Ontario for two days due to fog while traveling through Lake Huron. The city of Tobermory was beautiful. We took our inflatable dingy to Big Tub Harbor and looked at the Sweepstakes Schooner wreckage. Our final destination was a place called "The Pool". It was amazing.

LOL sorry man my bad! that is so great how has it been for you? or are you still waiting to pick up? LOL trust me I know enjoy the GTX as I still love mine and will be on it more than the switch I think just for doing my exploring but nice to have for the family.

@@MarkForrestAdventures LOL, So far so good. 8.5 hours on the dash already. Picked up November 2022. Still doing break-in mostly on Lakefront Promenade Boat Launch. Preparing to explore north of GTA watching your episodes. All trips looks very appealing ! :)

That is great yes get to those 10 hrs in and then do an oil change before you head out for any longer trips. Nice that can be a fun ramp to launch from lol That is great you will have a great time out exploring with it!

I've been too lazy so far to bust out the drone. Well, that and the dog chases it. It's his favorite toy, hobby, pastime etc. Will have to leash him so he doesn't go overboard trying to chase it. Trip #5 in now, like 22.5 hrs. First day we've unfurled the Bimini top. Some of them are such nightmares I was nervous. Was super simple. Dog had shade, and it didn't screw up our performance too much. 2 to 3 mph slower with the thing up and unfurled.....

LOL yes dogs do like to chase the drone but yes good call don't need a dog over board situation but yes I bet he loves when you put it up! Nice we are up near 18 hrs on ours now. Yes it is not that bad at all to open and close and great to add that bit of shade for sure and your right very little impact to over all performance. We keep on enjoying the time on the water and do keep me posted all the best Cheers!

Wow. Great video Mark. The Drone shots were awesome. Maybe next summer I'll explore that area? Here in Timmins we've got a nice river, Mattagami River. It's 18 kms long and only 10 mins from my house and we have Kenogamissi Lake close by. It's 26 miles long and 2 miles wide and a few more. So? Looking like a great summer. 😁

Can you ride the Abitibi river north of Iroquois falls that looks like a great run! I have to find a way to get up there some time and check all them out! Have a great time on the water this summer!

Wow. You've done your research. I've heard of guys doing that Abitibi river ride. Only thing is there's 5 or 6 miles of rough gravel from Iroquois Falls to the river. Another nice ride is from Matheson to Iroquois Falls on the Black River. I did that with my dad back in the 80's. Beautiful brand new boat launch in Matheson too.

Best riding is from now till mid September. After that it's sketchy. Sometimes Till Thanks giving? But? I was out today on the river. It was 7c. I wore a wetsuit.

Beautiful footage Mark, you must be living up there now. Im planning on being up there in the middle of July and will reach out to you. The switch is perfect for a cruise with family, what would be the top speed of that

Where were those shallow shipwrecks on colpoys bay? Would like to check them out.

They are on the north side of the bay just near the Colpoys Bay Lookout there is a government dock right there with parking. just google that and you should be able to see it. If not let me know. There is also another wreck a bit closer to Wiraton right along the north shore just before the water treatment plant. I have a video on it to help you find it. Great vid! Do you land/take off (the drone) right on the switch, or do you use the shore for that?

Thank you so much! Yes I took off and landed the drone right from the switch. All I did for the switch is just pull the Bimini back so it is out of the way when taking off and landing. How fast were you able to get up to which four on board?

We averaged a speed of 45 kph and got up to 55 kph with all us on there.

Right that is the amazing part of boating up here there are times were you don't even see another boat for hours. LOL oh ya I bet down there well if you ever need a break from all the other boats you know where to come :)
