Sea Fishing UK - Deep Offshore Wrecking For Pollock And Bass, ACTION PACKED

Sea Fishing at sea on the boat. We go fishing on deep offshore wrecks in the middle of the English Channel. Using lures and slow pitch jigs we find thousands of fish feeding hard. This fishing session was one of a kind with great mates. This was probably the busiest wrecking session I have had in my life. Constant fish and constant laughs.
The lures I used were Sidewinder skerries eels and Slow Pitch Jigs. Using a boom set up for the skerries eel and direct lure for the SPJ.

The energy on the boat this day was insane wasn’t it I’m still thinking about it. We need to see when this weather slows up again and make a plan as I think there going to start moving in now with each day that passes 👀

Always very good uk boat fishing content, nice to see you guys getting more into jig fishing back in uk,I like the look of the sidewinder jig must get afew when back in uk, definitely when you start using 150g upwards jigs you need the proper rods and reels, like most boat fishing if your smart you don’t need to spend crazy money on them, value for money reels for this are Hart,sea monsters,noeby, to list just afew, and good heavy jig rods that’s good value for money are savage gear,seamonsters .noeby, . Learning the difference of slow and fast jigs is key to this type of fishing ,as you will need thinner braid for the slow jigs , all slow jigs flutter on the way down ,fast jigs don’t they just drop. Lots of fast jigs are sold as slow jigs etc, also you don’t need jigging braid good quality braid like Powerpro works just fine,another type of jig to try for bass etc is Bucktail jig the 170g plus ones are very good for deep water jigging the white one (spro )is deadly for Bass,I haven’t seen anyone yet using them in uk .there’s always really good information on jigging on the Japanese KZbin channels and loads of top tips on them that’s useful in them mate tightlines 😎🐟🇪🇸

Thanks for the in depth comment. That’s very interesting. Jigging actually is relatively new to the UK. We have a lot to learn still I think. Some people do it much better than us and I’m very much learning. So appreciate the tips! With our big tides the small jugs are hard to work unfortunately. So we have to have the weight to get down and jig direct. I look forward to doing more this year!

@@MuscleFishingOfficial nps mate hopefully save you guys abit of learning curve here and there, Iam still learning myself there’s alot little things that will give you edge with this style of fishing, KZbin channel TheFishingKit is very good for how to rig each type of jig plus what type of hooking works best for each Jig, forsure the Sea your fishing you need big Jigs 150 to 300g, I fish the Bristol Channel when in uk crazy tides lol. I also reckon heavy Tenya Jig fishing would work well in uk ,(where you put a prawn on jighead and bounce/ drift it around the bottom) I haven’t tried it in uk yet ,only got my Tenya rod afew months now but you get alot fish on this method, definitely sick at the heavy jigging it will throw up A better stamp of fish,good luck with your season tightlines 😎🐟

Ifca will have details on their website. End of March we can start landing 2 a day again with the minimum size 42cm

It’s an American blank and then totally customised with the twisted eyes. Epic rods! The reel is also a brand I can’t even write! Sorry that’s a rubbish answer. Any small profile lever drag jigging reel will work though on this rod!

That’s a superb pollock! My biggest is 13lb. I don’t see many 20lb fish in the UK anymore. Hopefully with the commercial ban they will get a chance to grow!
