I don't feel like a parent, but rather more like a god of my brine shrimp. I built and maintain their world. I watch from above, but I don't interfere in their lives on an individual basis. I don't name individuals, I don't keep track of individuals. When I do something, it's a "global" event for them. My own existence compared to theirs is vastly more complex, beyond what they could ever understand. They exist purely for my own amusement as a hobby. I don't feel like a parent or even a pet owner because I'm caring for an ecosystem, not an individual.

Hey Victoria! I've learnt so much from your videos and find myself watching them over and over. I had seamonkeys as a kid but recently got back into them, I have 6 tanks, on heat mats with a thermostat & air stones. I don't feel so alone with my love for these little creatures when I watch your videos! Keep up the great videos and especially the seamonkey ones. Just an idea for a video, I loved your rainbow box but would love to know how and where you ordered or purchased your extra bits and pieces, I live in northern Ireland and not sure where to order things such as the Banana treat or growth foods/plasma. @@TeaandtheDeepbluesea Ahhh I'm so happy you have replied to me! As a woman in her late 20's I do feel completely alone in this hobby but your channel has definitely changed that for me! I absolutely love my little sea monkey's and doing as much as I can to improve their set ups and overall health. I've become quite obsessed at the moment with collecting everything sea monkey also. Thanks so much for the link, I pretty much have everything that site has to offer, I don't yet have a super set as it's out of stock. I'm really hoping to be able to purchase the plasma, Banana treat, Grow kwikly, Cupid's arrow & magic red vitamins, all of which I have spent more time than I'd like to admit scouring the internet looking for a source to buy these on to add to my collection and of course boost my sea monkey's health. Would you have any idea where to source these items UK wise, I've seen you have most if not all of these in your rainbow supply box so I'm hoping there's a site somewhere out there to get these items. Me and my son have just started an aqua dragons set up and a sea monkeys set up. Aqua dragons hatch in loads but sea monkeys were less they are coming on now

If you place your tank on a windowsill so you can grow algae to help maintain your tank, make sure to get a lizard heating mat for the tank. DO NOT mix the food with water! Brine shrimp when they are babies can't feed off the bottom of the tank (which is where the food ends up), they can only feed off the water's surface. Therefore, spread the little scoop of food as much as you can on the water's surface.

Just wondering how to get the right water that sea monkeys and Aqua dragons need? I'd like to set up in a bigger tank but I don't know what salt or whatever is needed? Instructions say use the sachet in 380mls of water but water if it's a 2 or 4 Lt tank?

Is the Packet 4 plasma necessary to replace the salts lost by evaporation and topping up with water?

Salts and minerals do not evaporate so you only need to top up with distilled water, you can use the plasma as an additional item but it is not necessary :)

The Sea Dragons require you use bottled water. Those have almost 0 particles floating them. I have a zero water system at home and tested this. Surprised me! Thanks for the video and knowledge. I had one as a kid growing up and loved them. I even ordered extra things for them but my older brother stirred in creatine and killed them. It was heartbreaking, especially when the things I ordered came in.
