What a great cover of Phil Phillips hit, I had to go and look it up to see who had the hit with it. I am an old man, 70 years old, and I remember when the song was popular back in about 1960 when I was 12 years old. The two of you do a great job with it as you do with every thing you cover. Thank you for picking this one.

It's literally driving me nuts that there is SO MUCH GREAT TALENT on youtube and the music industry is still pumping out the same pre-programmed sludge it has been . Right now ..... Greta Van Fleet and Motion Device on a shared tour could be tearing up concert halls with their two amazing vocalists and breathing life back into hard rock . Josh , you , Maya Burns , Laura Cox , James Bell X not to mention all the AMAZING musicians here are prime for creating the new wave of singer songwriters . I do everything I can to direct people to all of you and wish you the very best . Jack White .... could take these people and make Nashville the new west coast . Support each other and let everyone know .... THE TALENT IS HERE ! PK

Greta Van Fleet is a bad joke
@trblemkr1d1066 жыл бұрын
@@arutzuki2491 I've heard that comment for over 50 years . What's comical is Led Zeppelin was accused of ripping of blues artists and bands like Creme . Then it was Alice Cooper was ripping off the New York Dolls , Aerosmith was ripping of The Rolling Stones and even the Stones were accused of ripping off blues artists and other bands . It's old and tired ... all bands start with sounds they've heard from other bands and develop their own styles . Alice Cooper was one of the first to used drop down chords and detuned guitars for that eerie sound on their early albums . Greta Van Fleet has already released a GREAT song that is definitely original and pulling them away from other influences . Don't be that guy who trashes a band before they even get a chance to find their sound and give us more great music . They have an AMAZING vocalist , they play very well and audiences alreadly LOVE THEM ! Support music ..... don't trash it just to be a critic . PK
@arutzuki24916 жыл бұрын
@@trblemkr1d106 It's not the same with Greta Van Fleet... They are nothing more than a glorified cover band. But listen to whatever you want.
@trblemkr1d1066 жыл бұрын
@@arutzuki2491 I always do .... At the age of 8 ( while I was at Six Flags over Texas 1969 ) I had to ditch my parents who were very strict to see Chuck Berry at an outside concert there . Ya ... I got a whipping for my effort . But , it was worth it and I saw a legend live in his prime . During the 70's I saw Bob Seger before he even had Night Moves out ( and several times after ) . My friends and I saw Led Zeppelin ( Song Remains the Same tour , camped out three days for tickets ) , Pink Floyd ( Animals tour ) , Fleetwood Mac ( Rumors ) , AC / DC when they opened for Kiss , Black Sabbath , Alice Cooper , Boston with Journey as an opening band , Aerosmith and Nazareth , Van Halen , Deep Purple , Rush at a promotional concert for ( WLRS 102 Louisville , Kentucky ) a dollar and two cents ) and so on . But , we also went to see Leon Russell , The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band , Leon Redbone , James Taylor , Chicago ( with Terry Kath ) , The Eagles ( On the border tour , when Joe Walsh was just starting to tour with them ) , The Baby's ( with John Waite ) , Piper ( Billy Squier ) . Bands that weren't considered " cool " at our high school but , proved to be classic shows . My last three concerts of late were Eric Clapton ( with Roger Daltrey opening ) , Jeff Beck and Robin Trower in separate shows . I don't consider this anything but a privilege and the luck of being a kid in the 60's , 70's and 80's and guess what ? I never listened to anyone who thought they had the right to tell me what was good or acceptable and never will . I can listen to Patsy Cline and a minute later listen to Sepultura and see the skill and talent of both . So ya ... I will listen to " whatever " I want . PK

I've never heard a bass played quite like that- wow! Then there are the beautiful clear understated vocals that really draw you in. Love it. If you are ever in the Pacific Northwest/ or Southern BC area, I'm sure my cousin would happily have you play at his venue. It's in White Rock BC and is called the Blue Frog Studio. It's a recording studio with 100 seats so it doubles as a performers venue. The sound quality there is superb. Glen Breaks
