When u are walking on a rope and teammate uses a harpoon so u fall down 2. choosing a name for your ship 3. open crew asking what y'all wanna do 4. seeing "black pearl" ship's name for 1000000th time 5. when someone loses a key during sunken kingdom quest 6. finding free loot at the start of your session 7. shooting your last cannonbal during hourglass

1:41 just today I rowboat heisted a gold hoarder emissary’s whole loot haul after watching them sail into a ghost fleet and abandon their ship to do a vault at the blockaded island. I don’t think they noticed when they got back, or they never got suspicious

My crew and I have been trying to make it a point to do more plays like that where we steal as much as possible without sinking the other ship if the opportunity presents itself. At one point we even had one guy who onto an island to talk to the other crew and distract them while the rest of us emptied out all of their supply barrels and left.

My friend and I were duo slopping, and encountered a galleon with no cosmetics. We offered them an alliance and they tried to sink us (missed like 7 shots lol). After we sunk them rather easily, we checked their loot and they had 25k worth including an ashen winds skull. So lost on why they chose to fight us

Honestly, I reckon at least half of the time people shoot first simply because they think a fight is inevitable and want to seize the initiative. The "shoot on sight" mentality that SoT creates is self-reinforcing. Then of course, there are also those that just like to fight for the hell of it - the type of crews who would sink an empty ship anchored at an outpost, for no reason at all.

Man, hourglass fights lasting literal hours is why I don't do hourglass. I came for a fight not a game of "who has the most 99 stacks of supplies". Rare should make it so if you activate your Hourglass it removes all 99 stacks above a cap. That way players can still stock up for a fight but it doesn't drag out for hours.

@@BugSenseii I find they're not too bad if you have the Rare Thief app/website available to skip over the worse ones. Definitely more enjoyable now Safer Seas is a thing. Some of the puzzles are pretty fun like the Shroudbreaker vault, the Trap master traps and Shores of Gold itself.
