Thank you for being here since the getgo my friend! I have no leaks at all on them but to be fair I can tell that this one is not the original transmission it looks to be a different year then the other one but the other one don’t leak ether it’s possible that the south got a transmission job some point in time before me. Lucky me I guess lol

@@Cruisingthesouth Thanks buddy. Are your engines 454? My tranys are HSW 630 A. I suspect the outputs are leaking, but could be everything. I may be after complete seal kits.

Hey so the tranny mounts u didn’t talk about them but i dont see them on the tranny

Once everything is propped up I removed the mounts from the transmission so I could slide it backwards

Is the hydraulic pump inside the transmission?

Thank you for watching 😉👍 what you mean by hydraulic pump? I haven’t taken the transmission apart but I don’t thing there is a pump inside. The oil moves around with the rotation of the gears but I never tuck it actual transmission apart.

@@Cruisingthesouth It’s my understanding there is a transmission fluid pump somewhere. This is how the fluid is circulated through the cooler and back into the transmission. I just had transmission rebuilt on my 2004 Searay Sundance 360 and I’m just trying to figure out where it is and if it was replaced. If the transmission caused gear grinding there will be metal particles still in the pump.

@@nicvanorton6795 I see.. well the pump is more like one of the gears with flaps if you know what I mean. But there is the filter that you can take it out and clean, it’s right by the middle of the transmission on the top right hand side, it’s a metal mash filter you can take it out and clean it and see if you see any metal shavings but really small metal shavings would be caught on a magnet on the very back of the transmission but it is internally, you can’t really clean that one, So pretty much you have nothing to worry about any leftover shavings would be caught by a magnet that’s on the very back of the transmission and if they pass they get caught in the filter! I hope this helps my friend! For sure so much easier to do the second one but the downside is that everything is so expensive now parts are nearly double some times!
