You are supposed to work until you have only 2 seconds left and then throw the food towards the table for presentation. The plates have to land in a specific spot without any flaw. I was very young then, but I remember, during the first few seasons of MasterChef Australia, contestants were given recipes, and they were actually filmed looking at them. This may make sense, they all should be home cooks, not professionals, to be a participant.

I don't know if it happens with MasterChef Canada, but I have seen some clips where the participants sit in a small kitchen with a notebook and one or two of the judges show them the process and technique to create a few dish. So I assume they are taught these techniques not for the dishes that needs to be made for final episode but techniques that can be used to make those dishes.

Why Hello There They are beaten for longer in the mixer and you also make them more watery in comparison to mashed potatoes. That is the only difference between the two dishes. In essence they both derive from the same ingredient and and are essentially the same dish of mashed potatoes just with some added liquidity to it.

Always remember to try take your time even you have little time despite not much and do whatever it takes to keep your cool under pressure so you won't have to rush things without making it too get sent back especially when it comes to stay in this competition.

I’m surprised that the judges gave Matt another chance in the competition when he missed a key ingredient in the Charlotte cake test.
