I wonder if there is a Whale Wars show on in Japan, except that it's set on the whale boats and shows how they have to spend every day dodging smelly hippies.

I wish people knew how utterly boring and exhausting it is to sit in a helicopter for hours on end looking for ships lol. I spent 3 months looking for North Korean oil tankers in the South China Sea conducting illegal ship to ship transfers and spilling oil everywhere when they did it. We found several transfers and stopped them and it was probably the most satisfying things I've ever got to do. Slowing pollution and slowly withering down a horrific regime feels pretty darn good

Yes it made no sense what Japan was illegally whaling in Australian territorial waters down in Antarctica. No navy would stop them. Fortunately the United Nations laws allow NGO’s to document illegal activities in international waters, sea shepherd legally intervened non-violently and after years of international pressure forced japan out

Callum bradbury the most hunted species of whales consists of Pilot whales and Minke whales which are not endangered. You can believe they aren't hunting for Scientific research despite them saying they are countless times. Where is Interpol where is the UN? They aren't doing anything because them whaling non endangered species for Research is not a threat to the whale population. You know could be why an International arrest warrant was issued on Paul Watson.

@@FreedomInc You are the type of person that uses their brain lol. Such a good thing. Trust me, you are not the only one that thinks this same thing. I have thought about you could use a rc helicopter with drone parts (not a drone that is licensed like DJI that can be tracked easily) and just leave the whole thing somewhere on the top of the ships funnel or in a hidden area with a GPS. But place more than one, so you have other sources if they are found or disrupted by the weather.

@@levirehn5255 I doubt they have anything useful besides a DJI drone and the one yellow long-range one posted YEARS ago for the southern ocean. The drones I see them use are weak and could be shot down with ease. Secondly there are drones that can travel over 1,000 nautical miles, probably not the 5 they have.
