Thanks for the great review! I am thinking of doing a trip with my daughter and we already have the older style collapsible XL Bowls and mugs… could you guys see if they fit inside and let us know! It would be nice if we could use our old collapsible stuff that’s still working instead of having to buy new plates and cups! Thanks again for all you do.

Nice description of the S2S nesting gear, but what is needed more, is real use experience on ultralight stoves like Jetboil and MSR Rocket systems. The problems with most of these type skillets are: (1) Even with oil/squeeze margerine, the non-stick coating doesn't release very well when cooking pancakes, eggs, hash browns, etc; (2) The coating may work fairly well on the first couple of weeklong trips, but degrades rapidly after that - for the premium price, they should last many years of 2-3 trips/yr; (3) The base material is relatively thin making it hard to avoid overheating the center when using the aforementioned small-burner stoves. >>>>>>

S2S generally do pretty extensive real life testing on their gear before they release it, but it is a good point that ultralight cooking gear needs some good long term reviews. I have the old Alpha Pan that I've run on a Jetboil and Kovea stove for 6+ years and I've loved it. Planing to get the Frontier one aswell, because you can never have enough gear. Hopefully it does just as well! ~ Lauren

How are the cups for hot coffee or tea?? Can you hold them without burning your hands😊

They aren't insulated, so they would be similar to other cups of comparable materials. The ring around the middle of the cups provides a little extra insulation. ~ Ben

Can it fit and also stackable to Frontier 5ML pot?

Not sure what you mean by 5ML pot, but the 2L & 1.3L pots will nest in it. Hope that helps ~ Lauren

Just buy the jetboil upgraded one I've been using it for 2 years it's great the newer version skillet one
