This is it folks, Time for a Sea Trial. Over the last few weeks I have had to troubleshoot the slow speeds and I believe we have finally figured this out. You can watch the troubleshooting video but this one is to share our sea trial day along with catching some crab. Enjoy the footage, I know it's bare minimum but soon as the boat is healthy, I will have so much more coming for all of you, so stay tuned, in the meantime, enjoy all the cooking recipes I have shared over the last few weeks!

After the boat gets a clean bill of health, installing two bildge pumps in Auto plus manual switches to ensure it handles the water automatically and allows manual pump out for backup, after we do that I will fill the hull up with a hose and verify the automatica bildge plus manual functions and we can cross this annoying and fantastic find and fix OFF our issues list. Hell yes we will be going for Stripers and more crab while we wait for Next Seasons Live bait and Tuna Run since we missed that, we have so many more trips to take, you are coming on all of them

I think it’s time for a new motor. Upgrade to a 200 HP Suzuki and you’ll double your fuel efficiency, have peace of mind. 🧐💡👍🏻

It wasn't the motor, it turned out to be too much water taken in and a dead bildge pump causing the hundreds of pounds of weight. once I fixed the pump and removed all the water, we are back in business. I tested compression on the motor and we have the compression within spec so the motor is stick a rock solid work horse thankfully.

@@24ksportfishing My DF200A has pushes my Skipjack 20 Open nearly 50 MPH and gets close to 4 NMPG at 3500 RPM. It planes the boat in 2 seconds, is quiet as a mouse and has an excellent long-term track record. Take a look at it when your Johnson goes… 👍🏻🛥️💨🚀

@@kenjorgenson8625 when that time comes, hopefully not anytime soon haha, I have always wanted to repower the boat but can't afford to for now. My 200HP gets me about 34 Mph Top speed with 5200RPMs, I have tried several props and have found a 4 blade works best for this particular 2300 Striper providing a healthy amount of lift and hole shot including control, I play with other prop sizes only to find this boat just won't go faster than 34MPH using trial and error with prop sizes and pitches. thanks for the suggestion, I am a huge fan of Suzuki, it's why I bought one for as my kicker/trolling motor :-)
