Thank you very much mate, really appreciate it, I have never been to Islay, however it’s on the bucket list, and yeah the session was absolutely great fun, unfortunately the weather took a bit of a turn 😂 but a good weekend in the fresh air, Thanks for commenting 🎣

@@theanglingfront know a few people who do well on them up there so hoping to get up late April time I think, have a crack at the pollack as well. On the way up to islay there looks some good fishing you anywhere near them spots ?

@@Onlyanangler That’s awesome, and I’m based near Helensburgh on the west, and I personally think the Sea Trout marks here along the Gareloch are great, especially when it becomes peak season for them, Just further along from that there is Loch Long, which can bring up some really nice sized Wrasse and Pollock, also had some nice conger too when I have fished for them 😃🤙🏻

@@theanglingfront sounds great fishing. We done really get many sea trout in the sea in 10 years I’ve had maybe 10 more bass here. Keep the videos coming 🎣

@@Onlyanangler Thanks mate, really appreciate the feedback, and here I have had only a handful of Schoalies when targeting sea trout, pretty uncommon but always a pleasure to catch, 🤙🏻🎣

Great vid! Do you eat any of the fish you catch? If so, why not do a catch and cook video? I'm a new subscriber.

Hi Tartan Rambo, appreciate the kind comment, and I have ever only ate Mackerel that I have caught, but a catch n cook sounds like a great idea, thanks!!!

Great video and catches. Is a day ticket available for sea trout fishing in that area? I'm aware the Loch Lomond club controls some of the area around the Clyde estuary.
@theanglingfront Жыл бұрын
Thanks Kev appreciate it, I’d imagine you probably could get Day tickets, I think the best person to answer that would be the tackle shop in Helensburgh, Tickers Tackle, he’s extremely helpful

@theanglingfront Жыл бұрын
Hi Famas, 10-30 gram by 2.4metres, Abu Garcia Devil rod mate, I personally believe it’s a quality rod for its price, hope this helps

good, good session, Michael! lovely fish up there, I'm very Frustrated that its so far away from me! just one thing, it drives me nutty watching you come back across the shallows for your net! have you thought about attaching a magnetic holder and catch that attaches to a harness so you can stow it away on your back? or even just a bungee strap gaffer taped onto the handle and you hook the strap over your shoulder? ok, none of my business!😂 do you require a permit for that stretch of shoreline? 👍
@theanglingfront Жыл бұрын
Thanks David, and yeah, I always tell myself that I need to attach a bungee to the net, but I am forever forgetting each session 😂 Will do it for the next one 😃😃
