Sweet video! This is something I've been trying to fix for my own throw as my rear knee is totally extending and causing weirdness down the chain One thing that isn't clear to me in the hinge approach to the back leg is how the unloading happens. Is it truly as simple as rolling the foot and plantar flexion like a gas petal? Tread talks about relaxing into rotation, but I have trouble making sense of that I find the lower body so confusing, especially the back leg!

Very informative, great tunes, and another enjoyable video. Thank you for the slap shot cue. I think this video is going to help me feel new things and help fix my elbow down problem. Thank you

It’s the new mic, or winter boredom

@@hotmustardseed lol, I've had the mic a couple years now, just not put out a lot of content. Weather has been terrible this year so far.

Does this move with the left leg happen to start the pull? Like the chain of events is this happens, which brings the disc in? A lot of pros say they physically pull the disc in with the arm, but wouldn't that break this chain of events? When I try to practice this, I feel like I am pulling the disc and the left leg is turning in sync instead of the left leg rotating ahead of the right arm.

It can get weird talking about what starts perception wise. The trail leg move is mostly to shift your mass in the target ward direction. The leg itself doesn't actually rotate because it's gripping the ground and causes the body/pelvis to start rotating away from the rear leg. The body can't move without rotation happening, just like walking/running, your goal is to move efficiently to your destination, not to crank the rotation out of whack. When the rear foot unweights after shifting/planting front foot the body/pelvis then pulls the rear leg along for the ride and is freely rotating along with the pelvis.

@@seabas22 Thank you man. I need to focus on planting and allowing the de-weight to happen.

I always hear nose over toes but then I see the pros nose way out pass the toes and over the disc and sometimes passed it like Eagle in the last picture.

Usually when people are talking about nose over toes they are talking about the front foot, not the rear foot.
