I just bought a photo book of Central Florida's bone valley phosphate operations during the early 80s. It's crazy how many SCL trains operated their on a daily basis. There was something like 20 active mines and 14 processing plants during the peak of production during the 80s. Rail activity still takes place but it's only a fraction of what it once was. There's only 3 mines life, 2 which have rail operations and 3 processing plants. Really wish I could have been alive to see it at it's peak.

My first model train was this engine. I wish it was still running on the train tracks today not just in the 1980’s.

Please add the section of the tape that includes the interview with Chief Clinchfield Dispatcher Mack Mullen at Dante Yard. That man does not mess around...and this is coming from an NW guy. Classic!!

Seaboard era videos are difficult to find especially since that railroad name was short lived (1983-1986). Many railfans, including myself, took 35mm photos. Not many railfans used video cameras during that era.
