Cummins Marine QSB 6.7 Aftercooler Maintenance

In this video we run through the maintenance of an Aftercooler from a QSB 6.7 HO 550. This is the older Pre-Mota style aftercooler but the same approach can be used on Mota and other aftercoolers.

We are working on that. Its a little tough because when we have an aftercooler in bad shape the customer usually wants it back yesterday, so its hard to find time to make the video, but we are definitely working on it.

Uh...the "fresh water flush" would be MAINTENANCE. And if it was in the "owners manual" for a "DIYer" this would be SERVICE. What it actually is is a "repair".

WD-40 loosens "salt deposits"? WD-40 is almost 100% plain old kerosene. Let's see the "fresh water flush" and a video of the boat in "normal operation". Its entirely possible that "aftercooler" is running "dry" the "not many hours" it ran in "3 years in the ocean". And you don't need to change zincs in "fresh water"? Even "fresh water" is "salt water" to some extent especially natural lakes.
