I can't make the eyes 😭 I've tried for like 2 hours. I can't see the stitches on my black yarn, so there's no way for me to add the color around the outside like you did. I also think my yarn is too big (and its cheap, so it keeps fraying). Anyways, now I'm too far along and can't use the safety eyes ☹ I really like the look of the crochet eyes too!

Kayla, try to make the eyes with a different color instead of black. A dark brown you would be able to find the stitches better. If it comforts you, black yarn is always a bit harder than others. Another tip that can help you, once you are crocheting the single crochet, use a small piece of yarn, with a bright color, to mark the back loop of that stitch (just insert them on the back loop and leave it hanging there), and keep doing that. In the end, you will have 6 markers, saying where you should insert the needle to make the slip stitch with the contrast color! I hope these tips help....!

@@LittleCrochetFarm I will try using dark brown yarn and see if that helps! I'm still very new to crochet too, (I just got my hooks for Christmas), so the black yarn is definitely challenging. And that's another good suggestion to place a different colored yarn at each stitch. By the way, thank you so much for always responding 😊 You are the absolute sweetest and I love your channel ♡

The pattern is rather very easy...except for the eyes. I think that I already tried making them around 15 times, exactly like in the pattern and on the video, yet they look like s**t. I tried also to make them tighter, other time a little bit more loose, in general i tried many variatons of the thread tension etc. and they still look horrible. At this point I'm very tempted to leave the seahorse eyeless :( .

The written pattern I bought is different to the you tube video for the eyes.

Yes, there is an increase in slip stitches for the eyes on the written pattern. Which is a better version for the eyes. Sometimes I make smaller changes to upgrade the pattern, but I can't change on videos already published.

My top fin doesn’t fit the head and body 🙃 it barely reaches from the top of the head to the neck. I think I overstuffed my seahorse 😅

Ohhh! That can be a reason. Maybe you could do the find with a larger needle… 😅

Mine didn’t fit either so I went and used a bigger hook and did 30 chain.
