I really like this video and it's great at giving out almost all the required information. It would be great to know the size of the allen key required to hold the pump shaft though. I'll figure it out of course. Everything else is noted though so the omission seems more glaring.

Awesome pool guy said meh just buy a new but at 1200 bucks I figure a 30 kit and this video I had to try. And it works perfectly I have a perfect seal with no leaking and no air in the pump at all. Great video

This video is very helpful! Thank you. But, next time when you upload a video on how to do like this you need to list tools and equipment you are using. If you could add a link where to purchase the seals that will make even better. You need more professional working people in marketing! It has been known famously bad customer service reputation. But an excellent engineering team!

Good video. Question - I have a superflo VS pump that is only 2 years old. It has started running much louder recently. Could a bad shaft seal cause that? I'm looking for ideas of what could be the issue before I either take it apart or hire someone to look at it. Thanks

My Super Flo pump with "top" on the seal plate positioned at top of pump the Diffuser tab sets about at 3 o'clock. Was there a change in the position of the tab to the seal plate? Update even though my diffuser was positioned at a different configuration I installed as you mentioned in your video.

I FOLLOWED THIS PROCEDURE, AND AFTER FINISHED PUTTING THE MOTOR BACK TOGETHER, IT HAD NO SUCTION, COULD THE PROBLEM BE THAT I PUT THE L 1, AND L 2 WIRES REVERSE ? ,

General question on Pentair pump seals. Why different seals for Whisper and inteili-Flo vs SuperFlo. Wouldn't on seal make everything easier and cheaper for Pentair and also Sta-rite and other brands Pentair owns.

Gah! The part I need to see is how to get the lid out of the clamp (the clear part out of the part with the handles). The video skips right over that part when removing it and when replacing it!

I am sure you have figured out by now, so maybe will help others. On mine the clear top was stuck and not loose, a light tap downward with rubber mallet broke the clear lid free. Once free, it will not come straight out. Holding the assembly upside down angle it in the ring and push low side into corner of the ring. This will allow the upper side to pass the locking wings on ring and slide out.

Why so many extra screws?? Hayward pumps run fine without all the extra screws in the diffuser and impeller...
