I dont know too much about my Native heritage unfortunately since my great grandma and her family was made to live in a camp since she was little. Once she had my grandma and her siblings she had pretty much forgotten how to speak the language or was ashamed to speak it so my grandma was never taught much about any of our peoples lives or traditions. Luckily, my mom, Auntie, and me along with my siblings and cousins are determined to learn and appreciate all we can about our people. We know for sure now we come from the Qawalangin tribe specifically! Hopefully we will be able to make it to the next event
