Sealed Unit Laboratory Mixer

The Silverson Sealed Unit Laboratory Mixer is designed for working on sterile materials where it is essential to exclude airborne contamination.
It is ideal for research and pilot-scale production in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
Processing can be carried out under conditions of
absolute safety, since the mechanical seal protects sterile
materials from airborne contamination and eliminates the
risk of hazardous materials escaping into the surrounding
atmosphere.
The efficiency of the machine is such that materials are
reduced to a fine homogeneous suspension in a few
seconds, with virtually no heat rise.
The mixer features a special Quick-Release mechanism
which permits any of the Sealed Unit Mixing Assemblies to be easily attached or removed. Once
attached, the mechanism hermetically seals the mixing
assembly and vessel, preventing any contamination.
