I do 90 degree cuts nearly everyday. It's the best cut on ethnic women in my opinion. This cut creates the best loopy layery feathery looks on black women. It also removes most heat damage equally across the head. Love it! Love throw backs!

I am a barbering and cosmetology instructor and this was the best video I have seen for this haircut. I hate to see a weight line in a layered haircut. You do everything like I do other than the sections. But after watching your video that is how I section it now. So thank you for that. Hopefully my students will pay more attention to your video than when I do my demonstration in class. LOL Looking forward to more of your videos.

You are really good, thorough, precise and very high quality. You're teaching is thorough and not boring or repetitive. You break things down so that it's easy to follow and understand. You are a very good teacher, you don't miss anything or skip over, you are concise and thorough in your method. You keep things simple, yet you give a lot of information and very well delivered. However fyi, when you started on the right side the first couple of cuts were out of frame. If you were not consistent and through with you teaching, it would not be able to follow, but because you are good, it is easy to follow thorough and know how to do that step. You definitely know your stuff and are very good.

I was taught this by my boss who was from London and went to Vidal Sassoon academy there, and I've been using it ever since. That was like 20 years ago. It's not hard, you just have to do it every time you pull your scissors away from the cut so you don't poke anyone. It becomes habit after awhile.🙂

I'm not a stylist or a hairdresser or anything like that, but I do cut hair as a hobby. Started out cutting my own hair, which I still do. One of your bob tutorials helped me imensly in getting that shape and volume in the back, that I was looking for (it was all in the parting which also made it a lot easier to work especially in the back!) Now, that cut has grown out and I'm thinking of keeping the length and doing layers. I was contemplating doing basically the exact same thing you did in this video, but didn't have the guts do it as I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out. So thank you, is what I'm trying to say. Your videos are highly educational and helpful even for someone like me, cutting her own hair with a $4-5 pair of scissors in front of the bathroom mirror. 😊

Could I have it parted on the side when I get the hair cut. Then part it in the middle. Or will it mess it up?
@stephaniie9298 жыл бұрын
+Galaxy lover girl Galaxy have them cut it to the center part. That way if you flip or wear to one side it will still be seamless. If you have them cut to the side part and then you wear your hair to the middle, one side may look shorter in the layering.

I think Matt's a great person to demonstrate both a 180 and a 180 w/90-45 blending and hopefully to explain which is best for who and why. g

For example, best layers for fine, medium and thick hair on short, medium and long length hair.
