It's even worse he beat the former #6 Chiesa and got #9 attached to his name. That's so stupid, these news writers and journalists who do ranking for the UFC. I understand, the UFC is 50% entertainment and 50% hardcore fighting. But ranking should be more strictly applied in all cases. Islam is an exceptional fighter, but, nonetheless... he was #9 or so when he beat Moises, who was #13.... and then jumped right into the #4 ranking at 155. Just total BS on these ranking assignation... And Khamzat was unranked and #3 Leon refused to fight him, so they pulled Leon out of the ranking until he relented. But, then, when Leon as to fight Colby, #3 fighting #1, and Colby just said: I am not fight charity fights here... and the UFC just let it go! And, BTW, back in 2021, both Colby and Leon each had exactly 11 fights, since 2015... so Leon was NOT any more "inactive" than Colby, for the UFC to pull such a BS on Leon....
