Retail investors have an almost unfair advantage over institutional investors: - they can invest in micro cap - they are not constrained in terms of asset class or sector - they can invest in "controversial" companies - they don't have to report their results against benchmarks and so they can focus on the long term - they can afford to "do nothing" (huge) - they can invest in S&P low-cost index funds and beat them all 😅

Great insights! I loved learning about the practical use of alternative data in investment analysis. I guess that retail has long investment horizons as an advantage and professionals have a lot of data (among many other things).

The interview brings no value comparing to the interview with Aswath Damodaran

Hey Harry, thank you for sharing your thoughts. Every individual that I speak with brings something different to the table, and you're right that some will be more interesting/valuable to you than others. I personally don't feel the same way, as I did enjoy the conversation with Sean and especially am interested to hear: - What it looks like being part of an investment firm; and - What alternative research methods are benig used. However, if there's anyone to blame at any point for a conversation of poor quality, that would be me, as I am the one leading the conversation and asking the questions. With that in mind, I am aware I am not the best and most experienced person in this position, but I am confident that I'll improve over time.

@@kostadin_ristovski I didn't want to offend you, just wanted to compare what I learned from watching both interviews. The interview with Aswath was extremely valuable and deserves way more views. It's impressive that you managed to invite him. Thank you for putting a lot of effort into making good quality content.
